Personally i think its tough not doing it in a thread and doing both conferences at once.  Maybe its just me but ranking 32 teams in one message i found to be kinda overwhelming and difficult

I agree that its tough, but if its so tough you can always separate out your personal workload and do one conference a day then send in your ballot.

I don't think combined conference balloting effected things that much, I think Labor day weekend hurt it a lot more.

I'll also say that voting is part of participation and will be considered next year when we're handing out slots.

Based on this year's participation we're definitely looking at contraction.

Really?  I didn't see much difference between ranking two conferences in close to 48 hours, versus one conference (twice) in 24 hours each.

I personally think that the lack of interest is due, in part, to the lack of drama.  There's definitely been *a lot* less marketing this year, and a lot less trash talk.  That's a good thing -- it fits with the "kinder, gentler" draft -- but it also makes things less interesting and not as engaging, I think.

However, I do predict that by 6:00 tonight, we'll end up with at least 24 or 25 of the GMs submitting ballots.

I disagree. People are easily swayed by the opinions of others even if they often times don't realize it. I feel like when a respected Mod would come out and make a list the ending result would be pretty similar. This way people think for themselves.
