All of today's games have been canceled.

Where you seeing this? Some are saying that tweet was fake and the Rockets game at 3:30 pm is going forward as planned.

Deleted it - saw a couple of sports figures saying it had happened then couldn't get it corroborated.

I think they should though, players will not have their heads in it and that can be dangerous for them even beyond the morality or appropriateness or whatever of it.

So sad....Prayers to his family and the other victims.

SO MANY feelings here....dude was INSTRUMENTAL in being the VILLAIN to so many of us Celtic Fans - especially from 2007-2010 and 11.....

We looked out West - and we knew that Kobe (and LA) were standing in BOS's way.....

Even BEYOND basketball this man was doing Children's books..

Man even recently spoke of a few female players that could play in the NBA one day....

Dude was an Alpha (and sometimes an A1) to none other than Shaquille O'Neal....

Dwight Howard was reportedly going to ask him to help him with the dunk contest as well...

Tatum trained under him..

Anyone here remember THIS:

Just shocking and sad..RIP, Icon.

NBA.com hasn't made any reference to the tragedy yet, so nothing there about games.

To be honest - this is probably what Kobe would want anyways. As competitive as he was, I don’t think he would want the games cancelled. That’s one of the things I always appreciated about him.

The ABC link that included Bryant’s daughters as passengers has now deleted that part. Thank god.

Man I really hope that is the case...a lot of conflicting information about that right now.

Farther than that, they've apparently reversed and confirmed the kids were NOT on it. So glad.

I go back and forth about 5 people dead being the same tragedy whether you knew their names or not, but it's obviously very very different with kids. Really grateful they're ok if that is the case.

OMG that's so sad. RIP Kobe and the 4 others on board  :'(

I'm just at a loss of words... was stunned when I saw the news on social media. Hoped it was fake as TMZ first reported it, but then everyone else confirmed it.

Well ffs. TMZ is perversely probably the most trustworthy source in any of this, they've gotten a ton of celeb deaths right and I can't ever remember them getting one wrong.

I'm just gonna wait and stop jumping at everything I think. Awful day.
