This will be an interesting yet nerve-wracking series. I'm curious to see what the plan is to defend/contain Lebron today. Lebron will put up his numbers regardless, but the key is limiting his overall impact on the court and making him work hard on BOTH ends of the floor (something Toronto failed to do all series). The Celtics HAVE to weather every Cleveland run to have a chance. Unlike PHI or MIL, if we give up a huge 20-2 run or something similar, it will be hard to come back against especially with a Lebron James-led Cavs team (not impossible, but certainly not the recipe for success). Lets face it, Lebron will have stretches where he keeps scoring against us, and we just need to be smart and keep fighting until the end (finding open guys and making the shots).
Marcus Morris NEEDS to be better this series. Forget the defending Lebron part, if he struggles to shoot again and takes even more low IQ iso or fadeaways, we're doomed. I hope CBS rips into him about it (every possession matters in this series, and we can't have them thrown away by Morris jacking up horrible shots every other possession). I reckon we need Tatum to score 22+ PPG this series, which is asking a lot for a 20 year old rookie, but considering injuries we just need him to continue stepping up.
The KEY in this series is the Love-Horford match up. If Horford neutralizes Love or even wins that match up, I really do like our chances. Also, Scary Terry needs to continue being Scary! Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there, and...
LETS GO C'S!!
