Has anyone bothered to talk yet about how dumb of a play that was for Lillard to attempt? Sure, it went in. But tie game, shot clock off, and you settle for a 40 footer?

It is a historic travesty that Westbrook got that MVP award. Even though Kawhi and Harden were more deserving, are and were better players and made their teams better and truly relevant in terms of playoff (real) basketball. It set up a really bad example that such a selfish, unskilled and most importantly, a player displaying such unsportsmanlike conduct was "our" (never mine) MVP.

Did we fight the war for that?

For the selfish?
For the unskilled?
For sore losers that don't respect anyone?
For complainers to the refs who rather whine than run back on D?
For the uncoachable and the narcissistic?
For the undisciplined?
For the guys who repel real MVPs out of town(KD)?
A guy that has a period every time he is confronted with the media? BTW, the media that gave him his MVP?

That's our Most Valuable Player?
Those are the values we promote and try to instill in our future MVPS?

One huge basketball travesty.
A dark cloud of historic shame is raining over those voters and people who support these values.
It doesn't look like it will stop soon.

Except it wasn’t. Lillard has reached superstar status it appears. His confidence couldn’t be any higher right now and he knew that was going in. Blazers had all the momentum and Lillard twisted the knife because he could.

Yeah. Taking a shot 24 feet away from the basket is a stupid shot until you get good enough to hit it with consistency. Lillard has gotten so good at shooting he was confident he could hit from 37. And it turns out, at least last night, he was right.

If Lillard had missed that shot the game would've gone into overtime with the Blazers had all the momentum. It was like a free shot and he left no time on the clock. It was the Smart play.

Houston basketball is an ugly brand of basketball. It's all dribble, dribble, dribble, and then jack up a shot...

Mitchell and Harden in a brick off.

I picked Houston to beat Golden State in 6 next round.

But if something is going to keep them from pulling off the upset, it's Harden predictably choking again.

Jazz could actually steal this lol. Still a 4 point game late in the 3rd.

Momentum is something until it is not...and, in overtime, everything starts over. It's not a debate about whether or not Lillard is a good 3-pt shooter, it's about whether or not he gave his team the best chance at winning at that point in time. If he is that good at shooting from super-distance, he should be even better from even closer. The Blazers didn't even need a 3...and it was fairly well-guarded.

It's easy to say it was a good shot because it went in and the Blazers won, but there were higher percentage opportunities.

So many chances wasted.
