The refs gave wizards momentum by bailing them out several times.

Reminds me a bit of Game 4's first half. Celtics had numerous opportunities to build on an early lead, but failed to do so. I'd say they can't keep on bricking wide-open threes, but they definitely can.

Olynyk gave them a spark on offense at least, but Smart continues to be useless on that end.

This is crazy. The officiating is absolutely brutal right now. Am I the only one seeing this crew as biased towards the Wiz? Seems like the C's get called for more touch fouls.

Difficult to tell whether that was on foul on Marcus.  But dude simply isn't explosive enough to finish in that situation.  Wash doesn't care whether he drives because he isn't going to finish anyway.

yeah the refs are horrible but we're allowing them to have an impact. we need to come out and play that game 5 defense.

Losing after that half is very concerning. Unlikely Washington plays that badly again. Missed opportunity to build a large lead.

Thomas is playing himself off the boston celtics future plans
I thought he did that in Game 6.

3-12 from three for the Celts.

4-8 for the Wiz.

Gotta get hot from deep to win this one.

This is the tough thing about being a jumpshooting team.

How do you deal when it's Game 7 and you go cold from three?  Doesn't matter how good you are, or if you're at home, if you don't have a second choice when the jumpers are clanging, you're in trouble.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

This feels like it may boil down to Wall + Beal versus Isaiah.

Two versus one.

They have two offensive superstars, the Celts have one.

Thomas can only do so much.

Problem is that our superstar is being exploited defensively.
every team has used that as their gameplan the last 3 years in the playoffs.  it's not a new strategy and has shown to be very effective

Yep, I can't even count how many times his man has scored tonight. They've really been good at working that mismatch. IT is just helpless out there right now, and his offense isn't making up for his defensive deficiencies right now.

No, you are not. I am legitimately posses off right now. Two different standards of officiating.

Yeah cause Smart definitely didnt get more contact on that then Beal. Its unreal. NBA wants John Wall to continue on so they can still ride him.

Basically this. They are going to get what they get out of marketing IT and the current Celtics either way. This is about making Wall a household NBA Superstar name and marketing the Wizards.

Its so obvious. The narrative on how these announcers talk about him all of a sudden is not a coincidence.
