Assuming Tremont Waters is a 2-way guy. We have Edwards, Smart, and Walker at guard. Jalen Brown is a G/F.  Then we have a ton of Small Forwards. Might could use a combo guard off the bench?

I kind of thought of Jerian grant as a cheaper Rozier? Or maybe go with Shelvin Mack?

Shane Larkin has been rumored, although he's clearly not a combo guard.  I'd be happy to have him back either way.

I think Marcus gives us enough flexibility to role with a traditional point guard as a 3rd option.

Hadn’t heard that but they don’t even need another guard.

We definitely do. Our guard rotation before Wanamaker returning was Walker, Brown and Smart. The rookies won't get floor time this year, Langford and Edwards will mostly be in Maine refining their game. Maybe Langford makes enough progress for the rotation but given what Brad expects from his guards I wouldn't bet on it.

I expect one of Langford or Edwards to crack the rotation by midseason.  My money is on Edwards as a college junior with NBA range from 3.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get minutes right out of the gate.

Agreed. I'm interested to see if Edwards pans out. Despite his size, a lot of people are saying his shooting makes him a natural off the ball - might be a good pairing with Smart, who can balance him defensively with a little more size, and take the main PG responsibility while letting Edwards move off the ball or take dribble handoffs so he can fire away.

You know Brad's thinking about Carsen as a microwave scorer off the bench. He's probably reformulating the old IT playbook already. But who's our pick and pop guy? Theis?

BTW does Langford have any meaningful PG skills? Seems like more of a shooter/scorer. Combo guards should be able to run plays at least sporadically - even Jamal Crawford moves the ball sometimes.
