I would never trade for AD. He is breaking down already. His trajectory will not be one of glory. If you truly want JB gone, send to him his pal in Brooklyn for KD and give them back one of their picks that Ainge fleeced them with.

Revisiting the KD idea for December 15, just in time for Xmas, it would be nice if the Nets would go along with this:

BOS In: KD
LAL In: JB, Kyrie, Seth Curry, Joe Harris, Gallinari, Kornet
BKN In: AD, Westbrook, 2025 BOS 1st, 2026 LAL 1st, 2027 BOS 1st, 2028 LAL 1st, 2029 LAL 1st swap, all LAL and BOS second-round picks through 2029

BKN finds suitors for AD and Simmons, hauling in three more first-round picks and a swap. Subsequently unloads the rest of their assets for bad contracts/picks and buys out Westbrook. In other words, officially becomes the leader in the Wembanyama sweepstakes, the year with the exceptional consolation prize of Scoot Henderson.

Meanwhile, the Lakers have new life and perhaps they pull it together to face us in the Finals. How sweet would it be to win banner 18 over LeBron and Kyrie?

Our perspective:

BOS In: KD
BOS Out: JB, Gallinari, Kornet, 2025 BOS 1st, 2027 BOS 1st, all BOS second-round picks through 2029

This is a title team with eight solid starting-caliber players:

Smart/D-White
Brogdon/D-White
JT/G. Williams
KD/Horford
Timelord/Horford

Yeah, I think we would be more interested in ideas around Jayson now.

Maybe

BOS: Jokic
Denver: Tatum, Al.

Why would we be in the mood to trade the current #2 in the MVP ranking (above Jokic) who is younger than him, more durable, on a more team-friendly deal, plays better defence, and has more room for improvement?
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

So true, and what’s more is this team is playing so well and R-Will coming back, I have no need for any trade.

If you are talking about value, that may be relatively fair.

But both Boston and Denver say no to that.

A roadmap for continued dominance well into the future is buy-low on AD and sell-high on JB because we could use a dominant big more than JB at the two (especially with Brogdon/Pritchard onboard). It’s obvious LeBron yearns for the return of Kyrie, so let’s help the Lakers become the Big 3 Social Justice Warriors:

BOS In: AD
BOS Out: JB, Griffin

LAL In: JB, Kyrie, Harris, Griffin
LAL Out: AD, Westbrook, 2026 LAL 1st, 2028 1st swap

BKN In: Westbrook, 2026 LAL 1st, 2028 LAL 1st swap
BKN Out: Kyrie, Harris

Brooklyn holds onto KD for a mega trade with Phoenix, or someone else, in the off-season when Ayton becomes available for a trade. KD and Westbrook end up doing one last season together for the heck of it.

Our new rotations going into the second half of the year/playoffs:

Smart/D-White
Brogdon/D-White
JT/G. Williams
AD/Horford
Timelord/Horford

Bench Leads: Hauser, Pritchard, Gallinari, Kornet

If AD and Timelord remain healthy, admittedly a big if, they woild be the best front court of the 2020s, particularly considering Big Al would be the backup to both.

In the off-season, match the best offer for Grant, add a MLE who can play 2/3, and consolidate all our 2023 second-round picks to move up into the bottom of the 2023 first-round to pick the best available big (whoever nailed it with Timelord deserves to weigh-in heavily on this pick). Davison as 15th man because he’s shown enough to keep around.

The obvious threat is AD’s and Brogdon’s health not holding up. But these fellas realize tens of millions of dollars are on the line so I would bet on their conditioning being prime moving forward (they just need to do whatever the heck it is Horford is doing). Bonus points for AD being super motivated to show the Lakers they made a big mistake.

Right on time.  We lose a close game and Greenly trades JB.

Come on with this.
