Say that Danny was interested in someone like Roscoe Smith or Scotty Hopson. Can he just go out and sign them, or does he have to trade someone on the red claws to get it done? I'm only asking because it seems like some guys bounce from team to team, only to sign with a club other than the one who owns the minor league team on which they were playing, so it doesn't appear to follow the same model as the one used by major league baseball.
Btw, Jabari Brown was called up a couple of weeks ago and has played very well, including his career high of 22 points last night against the 76ers. Sigh.
