Terrible inbounds bounce pass by Rondo
A bounce pass at the shins at that distance is really hard to handle, especially when you need the receiver to immediately go into his shooting motion.

Comcast beating it over the head that the team is out of shape.

Isn't everyone out of shape across the league or are the C's just getting old?

Yup...I agree.

i think them being older leads to them being out of shape longer. but no excuse tonight...4 days off and they still came out dead

What a maddening game. Yes, the way Boston played most of the game, it probably shouldn't have even been in it at the end, but that's just it -- they made SO many mistakes, just way too many mental blunders. I saw a lot of good things, but after four days of rest and practice, and against a team that was on the second half of a back-to-back -- on the ROAD nonetheless -- Boston's play tonight was largely inexcusable. Bass turning INTO a double team, Garnett flopping in an attempt to draw a foul but instead giving Mahinmi an uncontested shot, Garnet getting blocked TWICE in the fourth, Boston playing good defense only to surrender the offensive rebound -- multiple times, Boston rallying multiple times to tie or go ahead and then doing something foolish to fall behind again, Boston missing three straight shots with the scored tied 77-77, and in the end, Boston playing TERRIBLE defense on two straight possessions near the end to fall behind by five. I'm trying to stay positive, but this kind of performance under the particular circumstances is discouraging.

Bulls Friday, Pacers Saturday, Thunder Monday. @PosImpos is right... We could be looking at 3 more L's here.

You must not be watching the games? our defense has been good to great most game... offense has looked terrible a lot though.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

yeah...i am starting to just accept this is the end of the run. It was great. the loss in game 7 still is fresh. I enjoy watching them play but so far this year it has been excruciating. I hope I am wrong but I think we all see the window shutting more and more..

defense was bad.....they let terry go free down the lane...let dirk go right on the game winner...and fouled at an alarming rate

I would put this on our horrid rebounding. We gave up too many 2nd chance points.

I would put this on our horrid rebounding. I don't know the exact number but we gave up double digit 2nd chance points.

4-8 or 5-7? What's the difference, really? Some people have said that all that matters is having Boston playing good once the playoffs roll around, but right now Boston isn't a playoff team -- literally, they're not. And at this rate, even if they end up playing well and make the playoffs, it's probably not going to be as a top-4 team, which means they won't ever have home-court advantage and will have an uphill climb the entire way, and all because they couldn't get their act together early enough (if at all).

The Mavs took 79 shots.  The Celtics took 64.  There's your game right there.
