Why did Brad play 13 players in a close game? 🤔

Searching.  He played 13 players, and only 4 of them are reliable.  But Brown and Tatum can't play 48 minutes.  Somebody has to earn the right to play behind these guys.

terrible coaching tonight

Brad played an egg in the first half, but I thought he outreached Pop in the second half. That zone really got to the Spurs.

How can Smart be the one taking the last shot on this team...

Because Brad is a...

I mean, it was a wide open shot. It was a good play.

This.  An open corner three is one of the best shots on the court.  Nothing was wrong with that play.

It would've been better with Jaylen Brown shooting it.

I’d prefer Tatum or Brown shooting a contested over a wide open shot for Smart.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

There's a reason Smart was open. Tatum should've taken it then.

Sure, maybe he'll bank in another bad shot over a good contest.  Worked once, right?

That's the type of hero ball that loses games though. Smart is a good shooter from three when open.

I'd be ecstatic if I got the opportunity to earn the right to play behind Brown and Tatum :(
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

I really don't understand what people want.  We run an iso play for Tatum to try a step back three, people complain.  We run actual team offense and generate a good shot, people complain.

The defense is actively trying to keep our best guys from taking a good shot.  I feel like people lose sight of that.  If we could just easily manufacture an easy wide open shot for our best player at will, then we'd do it all game.  But basketball isn't that easy.  You take what you can get.

My takeaway from the Celtics TPE auditions tour is that Derozan has won the job. He would be a great fit with this group.
