Ah a green colored sun is shining on our world today.  I felt good about this one from the beginning and they really made it look easy out there.

-Billups is still hurt.

-Rasheed hurts the Pistons as much as he helps them.

-Our team defense stood up and played well against their team offense.

-KG is set to have a monster series.  Paul is in a nice groove right now and who knows maybe Ray will get his jumper back and win a game for us.

All of these things are subject to change.  Especially if the Pistons come back and take home court advantage with a Game 2 win.  However that was a good start to the series.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

i met a guy in college years ago who could imitate the scene when mickey died and rocky was mumbling a bunch of stuff over his corpse...it was classic and always made us laugh.  he was so intense, when he got finished his face was red and he usually needed a tylenol.  ;D

I have a similar story. A good friend of mine can do the final seen of First Blood with Rambo and Col. Trautman.

nothibing is OvEr!!! nothibing!!!

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Apollo gives tonights effort a thumbs up

Pistons took it on the chin like Apollo did against:

Crap, if we're Drago . . . does that mean we meet Rocky next round?
Yeh, I did think that through and was going to go on a bit with it but then it would have gotten all confusing and Tommy Morrison would have entered the picture and none of us would have any idea how he fit into the picture so we'd have to wait 15 years for Rocky to give us one last bout and I wouldn't be able to keep straight which team metaphored which boxer...and well...I left it at Dolph

My prediction for game 2 for the Pistons:

PAIN
Yup

I was never a big whiskey drinker, but one night in college became one with a bottle of Jack and spent the rest of the night enjoying the hell out of doing a Don Corleon impression.

If anything we're Rocky and the Piston/Spurs and Lakers are Drago. All of them represent evil empires imho.

Ain't done Nothing yet, just a game, one game  8)

Maybe if we're Lucky again possibly win on our floor again next game, maybe...

But, not having a bench and not winning on the road is all that's left for these underdogs to prove, anything to the outsiders...

Hmmm, nice start though with the "D" effort tonight, for the spectators...

Gooo UNDERDOGs!!!!!
"Indefatigable on Defense, defines these Celtics"

OK, I'll break it down.

The Celtics are Rocky.

Apollo is our friend, thus he is a good luck charm.

The Pistons are Thunderlips, all hype, but not as likable as the Hulkster.

The final opponent, be it the Lakers or the Spurs, is Drago, the unbeatable force that can only be stopped with pure heart.

When the Celtics/Rocky finally win the championship, we will celebrate with our friends, however we see fit, don't judge us.

thank you, Celtic!  the world suddenly makes sense to me now...i never realized all those rocky movies were really teaching something deeper.

I think the next road game, with a hobbled Billups, we see something like this.
