Rank the probability of these scenarios as either high, medium, or low likelihood:

1. Coach Mozzarella leads us to the title. Udoka resigns somewhere along the line. Everyone is pleased.

2A. Coach Mozzarella gets targeted by Cancel Culture Commies, who refuse to tolerate someone who plead guilty to underage drinking and aggravated assault charges at a Pittsburgh Pirates game in 2008, and then charged with domestic battery a year later. Stevens is forced to become the interim coach to save Mozzarella’s job. Huge distraction, but Stevens leads us to the title anyway and subsequently becomes our version of Bill Bellichick. Udoka resigns somewhere along the way.

2B. Same as above except Stevens falls short in the Finals or ECF.  Stevens still becomes permanent HC/GM in 2023-2024.

3. Coach Mozzarella falls short and fails to win the job permanently. Udoka is our coach a year from now and we become title contenders again.

4. Coach Mozzarella falls short, but is given the job since Udoka resigned somewhere along the way.

5. Coach Mozzarella falls short and Udoka resigns somewhere along the way. Stevens becomes HC/GM in 2023-2024.

6. Coach Mozzarella falls short and Udoka resigns somewhere along the way. Stevens hires Quin Snyder for 2023-2024.

7. Coach Mozzarella falls short and Udoka resigns somewhere along the way. Stevens hires someone other than Mozzarella and Snyder to be our HC for 2023-2024.

3. High
4. Low (given the availability of Stevens and Snyder)
5. High
6. High
7. Low (who’s available and better than CBS/Snyder?)

Don't matter. Once Mazz leads us to the promised lands again, Udoka is gone gone and goneee.

Is mocking his name meant to be funny?

Is mocking his name meant to be funny?

It’s his nickname and stated with affection (who doesn’t like mozzarella?). Why so serious?

Probably a bit on edge because our season is crumbling and it isn't even September

We’ve literally got the second or third best coach in the league as our GM. We have the same roster that went to six games against a healthy Golden State in the Finals, but we’ve added an amazing talent in Brogdon. If Mozzarella falters, Brad to the rescue by January 1. For all we know Mozzarella was a bigger reason why we were so brilliant defensively last year compared to Udoka.

I’m optimistic. We are going to win 18. I can feel it.

Really do think that we can win it all as long as Mozzarella is a sane coach and we're healthy.

He’s awfully young. Not a common thing to have players older than the coach. May have a couple new bench guys when all is said and done who are older than coach.  But of course there are some extraordinary people out there who are wise far beyond their years. Hopefully he is one.

I think the big concern is Ime hangover. To what extent do players have big feelings carry into the season depending on their relationship with and trust in Ime. Could be anything from anger with the organization to disappointment in a guy they looked up to and trusted.  These things can be relative non-factors or can be an ever present stress that emerges when times get difficult throughout the season.  I think Mazzula may have a tough time. Hopefully it’s something that arises early and can be handled and resolved.

I read this to have a tad bit of sarcasm, which is cool, but, what happens if Mazz does win it all?  Is Ime back?  If yes, Mazz is for sure gone and if I were a GM that had a coaching need or looking for an improvement, I'd be knocking on his door right away.

While not officially being the coach or a coach does Brad step up and do some coaching? Some help /suggestions. Practices, his analytics he used so much?

I would highly doubt it. One way ticket to eroding the authority of the coach
