Suns: Dillon Brooks

Grizzlies: Jae Crowder

—————————

Something like this makes the most sense for both teams IMO.

Both players are on expiring deals, Brooks offers much needed bench scoring for Suns. Crowder would be the starting forward for the Grizzlies and fits in perfectly with their grit and grind identity.

—————————

Grizzlies

Morant
Bane
Crowder
Jackson Jr.
Adams

Jones, Clarke, Williams, Green, Tillman

Suns

Paul
Booker
Bridges
Johnson
Ayton

Brooks, Payne, Saric, Shamet, Biyombo

Brooks is a much better player at this point.
Yep.  Not even close.  I think the Suns would have to throw in SEVERAL 1st round picks to even get the value close and unless those picks are way in the future, I have no idea why Memphis would do that.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Boston would be very tough with crowder. He was missed in Miami after their run to the finals.

Gallinari can be traded Oct 10.  Kornet on Oct 7.  Think the Suns would take Gallinari and Kornet?  Is that a good trade for us?  They could cut Kornet and hope that Gallinari gives them something next season.

Short of something like that, I don't see how we could make a deal work.  PHO can probably do better.  Look what DET got for Olynyk.  Crowder could get traded to say Utah and maybe they cut him.

Neither Gallo nor Kornet can be traded until December 15th, as players (with some exceptions that don’t apply here) are ineligible to be traded until 90 days after their signing or December 15th, whichever comes later.

Why? At this point, Grant Williams does everything he does a little better.

That's what I was thinking.

I like Crowder but I think the C's should be going after someone who is either bigger or quicker.

OK, I got bad information I guess.  Makes an unlikely trade pretty much unworkable.  Our only option is if he gets traded to a team that cuts him.  Probably not going to happen.  He is a useful player.  Probably more value than Olynyk but in that range I would think.

I think he is better than Grant, but also in the same range.  Different in that he is more wing than big where Grant isn't really a wing at all.

Nope they would not take that offer.

If he’s looking for a starting job, he’s obviously not a fit in Boston.
