Rodney McGruder and Hassan Whiteside would be my two.  Don’t expect Whiteside to pick us because he wants more of a role, but hopefully we kick the tires on McGruder a bit as an 11th/12th man.

Sign me up for Howard or maybe Cauley-Stein and Lamb.
Leave last spot open.

Rather add guys from summer league or wait on a buyout option mid season.

I think they’re going to see what they’ve got. If the team looks like it’s a piece away, they’ve got a couple of trade exceptions worth $6-7 million.

The guys from that list we could sign to a vet min deal are not exciting.

I wouldn't be opposed to Dwight Howard or Jeremy Lamb.

And man, Schroder really shouldn't have left that $84m on the table with the Lakers.
2021 Houston Rockets

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

If I had to pick three:

Howard as backup center

Bradley as deep bench guard

Carmelo Anthony as a deep backup

Howard / Cauley-Stein at the 5 would be fine for me. I'd also be fine with Boogie.

Bembry or McGruder would be solid as the final spot on the wing.

Smart / Pritchard
Brown / White / Bembry
Tatum / Brogdon
Horford / Gallinari / Hauser
R Williams / G Williams / Boogie

I list Grant as back-up 5, but knowing how we do subs it is unlikely that he'll spend an awful lot of time at the 5.

Lots of guys who can play multiple positions quite comfortably. All of Tatum, Brown, Smart, Brogdon, White and Horford are really strong in at least 2 spots, if not more. Even role players like Grant, Gallo and hypothetically Bembry could.

'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Man, that list is just depressing. TPE on a center would have been nice. Or MLE… ugh.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Would Josh Jackson sign the vet minimum?
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Surprise some names still on here as I took off some who signed with someone..
I doubt Enes will ever play in NBA again cause teams may not want distraction

Not a great list. Josh Jackson could be interesting but is unrealistic.
