At this point I’d prefer Ryan and Kabengele as the 13th/14th roster spots rather than Davison and Begarin. Those second round picks are sunk costs. Ryan and Kabengele could eventually develop into rotational players. Not wise to let them walk just because we sunk 2nds into the other two, who look athletic but that’s only part of the equation.

The only thing that could have made that game more bizarre is if the Bucks had scored on that heave.

Kabengele with 15pts, 11rebs, 4ast, 2blk. Ryan with another solid game, finishing with 23 pts while shooting 6-11 from 3pt. Really hope to see these two on the Maine squad this year…

Okay we need a Matt Ryan thread. He dribbles the ball, hits game winners, and immediately recovers from injuries.

That's like Paul Pierce!

 ;)

Guys should have carried him out in a wheel chair …. ;D

Guys, that’s hurtful and insensitive. He could read this thread and be very upset by it. Let’s take a moment to consider his feelings.
and perhaps your's as well.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I’m good with signing Kabengele right now to at least something partially guaranteed to compete with Kornet for that last roster spot, if not something more.  He’s going to be on an NBA roster again with someone before long.

This. And he’s a former 1st round pick in 2019. I think this is our reclamation project big we ought to bring in.

I think it's a guarantee unless we get majorly outbid.

And Pierce’s, too. I’m just glad no one mentioned the rumor that he pooped his pants during the wheelchair incident. Would have been very upsetting and completely unfair to him.

Kabengele is an inside banger, which we lack. Ryan can shoot and impresses me with his grit. They look like deep bench possibilities to me with 3-4 open roster slots.
This - the team could really use an inside banger who's taller than 6'5". Looking at his G League numbers, they've been pretty consistent. Next game I'll pay attention to his defense. Tonight, no one was defending very well, but the hustle was certainly there for him. He was a terror.

Can someone explain to me what Kornet does well? Not even well, but average. Dudes going to be 27 this month. Let’s roll the dice on someone else, please.

He shot the 3 pretty decently in his first two seasons, but that has completely disappeared. Very odd.

He's a solid passer. That's basically it

His +/- was off the charts tonight. Dude has demonstrated he’s got a role to play in the NBA, even if as a fringe-bench guy. Would be absurd to pick Kornet over him.

I can’t explain to you what Kornet does well, but I do know I’m watching Kabengele against summer leaguers, and I’d like to see him in training camp before counting on him too much.  He’s also 25 in a month, so he’s not some young prospect.

It is important to remember that it is S/L, but his rebounding, passing and efficiency has all been good. All things we should highly value.

Very much so.  Like I said, I’m ready to sign him.  I just wouldn’t be surprised to see him look out of place come October.

He sits on the bench very well he is good at that.   The signing was mystifying  and bewildering.
