Just heard on Felger and Mazz that the Celtics are 12-0 with Foster officiating this season (Regular and post season combined).
Maybe we have the wrong attitude about that guy around here.
That's not true apparently. They lost Game 1 with him reffing in the Bucks series. I think they are actually something like 5-2
I said the same last series (being 11-0 before Miami Game 4) then FLCeltsFan and others bodybagged me and corrected me
ha they just retracted their comment - my bad
yeah I added it to my recent comment. They are something like 5-2 or 6-2 with him though which is nice. The only atrocious game I remember with him was Game 4 against BKN but otherwise he's typically let the C's play
This might be relevant, but a caller said that in the last 3 years, teams are 10-1 in the Conference Finals or Finals following a loss when Scott Foster refs. And he's 10-1 since 2016 for the home teams in those situations (Conference Finals + Finals).
Really hope the trends continue
I do agree with the media though, I think Foster "the sheriff" was bought in to handle Draymond, and this way he could also go a Game 6 or 7 later this series. They don't want more of these games where someone like Draymond "mucks it up". Idk if Draymond was just off Game 1 but Marc Davis also has a reputation in the league for his experience, and he seemed to keep Draymond in check (or Draymond didn't dare try anything). Zarba and Brothers though are just AWFUL
