Right on time.  We lose a close game and Greenly trades JB.

Come on with this.
Like clockwork. Not a thread worth taking seriously

Entertaining and therapeutic, nonetheless…

Sell high on JB as soon as we can move Gallo with him - believe we could trade out our 2030 first starting January 1st:

BOS In: KD

BOS Out:

JB
Gallo
(2) 2023 BOS 2nds
2025 BOS 1st (Top 1 Protection)
2027 BOS 1st Swap (W/PHI - BKN Gets Best)
2028 BOS 1st (Swap W/SAS - Top 1 Protection)
2029 BOS 2nd
2030 BOS 1st (Top 1 Protection)

Basically JB, three 1sts, three 2nds, and one swap for one of the all-time greatest players who’s under contract 3.5 more years. And we’ve already secured KD’s buddy Big Al through retirement, so we undoubtedly get to be the team to retire KD too, especially once he enters Celtic lore as a repeat champion Celtic, something we’ve not seen in KD’s lifetime…

Here is our eight-man rotation for our title runS:

Smart/D-White
Brogdon/D-White
JT/G. Williams
KD/Horford
Timelord/Horford

2023 Bench: Pritchard, Hauser, Griffin, Kornet

And we still have half a dozen picks to replenish our bench with prospects:

2023 ORL 2nd (Possible Top 35)
2024 BOS 1st (If = Bronny = LeBron)
2026 BOS 1st
2027 BOS 1st Swap (W/PHI - BKN Gets Best)
2029 BOS 1st
2030 BOS 2nd

Finally, we retain top one protection on our 2025, 2028 and 2030 firsts, so we still protect the possibility of winning the lottery if we enter it in any of those years due to injuries.

How can we say no? JT and KD would be next-level, probably winning the next 3-4 titles in Boston and maybe more. A true Celtics dynasty making us the team of the 2020s. LFG, Brad!!!

I’ll never stop dreaming of another Celtics dynasty. After watching that west coast trip, it is obviously not happening with JB, but it might with KD and JT. Certainly our best hope…

We are currently the best team in the NBA with several key players missing significant time, and coming off a trip to the Finals. Your boring fantasies of achieving a "dynasty" by adding an injury-prone 34 year-old owed ~$200m whilst trading JB are silliness.

If Stevens gets the vibe that Brown is thinking of leaving in free agency, then we cross that bridge when we get to it. But this team is a title contender, and messing with that would be stupid.

Honestly don’t understand what you see when you watch games.  What part of the last few games made you think “it is obviously not happening with JB?”

We had two bad games.  Happens to everybody.  Bucks just lost to Houston, for example.  Doubt anybody out in Milwaukee is trying to dump off Jrue over it.

We need to get Horford and Rob back, and we need to get back to playing team basketball at the offensive end.  Nothing we can’t handle.  Certainly not something that gets fixed by trading a guy who is playing at an All-NBA level this season.

No way I deal even one first for KD if I'm giving them JB.

Undoubtedly?
Not a chance in the world that KD flees to another team?
I mean, yeah he has stayed with the team that drafted...
Oh, wait.
I would expect him to stay here as long as his good buddy Kyrie did. If playing with Al Horford was so important to him, he would have signed here when both Horford and his friend Kyrie were here.
Our next dynasty won't have anything to do with KD, Lebron, or Beal, etc.

Have those picks coming from the Nets to the Cs and maybe I’d consider it.

It’s like we didn’t *just* play the Nets and win the game because KD fell apart down the stretch - coughing up turnover after turnover.  KD is a fine player … who is 34 years old and not what he was.

Oh yeah. JB had 34 points that game on 20 shots, 10 rebounds and four blocks. Clearly you’d need to attach six picks and swaps to get Durant.

the proper phrase is "nightmare", not "pipe dream".   ;)
