I agree that for the fans, a win, even a convincing one this game will do little to lift morale. For the team, though, a convincing win has got to elevate them. They must've had a sucky Thanksgiving stewing over that Knicks game, or at least I hope they did. Hopefully they take it out over the hapless Hawks tonight!!!

Joke acknowledged... but Horford has low key been hurting us this year. Struggling when switching to the perimeter on defense, rebounding is down, not hitting his threes, very passive overall.
We aren't better without him, but we do need him to be better than he's played thus far.

Stevens let that bench unit play way too much of the 2nd quarter and he cooled off his starters doing it. Brown just 10 minutes. Kyrie just 13. Don't care what the score was, you have to play it like it's a close game all the way through the first half always.Yeah but that 2nd unit was having some success. I wouldn’t go as far as complete and utter failure but there’s going to be plenty to work on after this game for sure. Basically the need to maintain defensive intensity the whole game and also better shot selection. I knew there was no way they would maintain their first quarter shooting clip but they’ve taken some bad contested shots in the last 3 quarters

Agree, though I’m not too worried about the open 3s, if they want to leave us open and defend the paint then we should definitely take those 3s. It’s the contested and lazy ones that they need to get out of their game.

During that hot start in the 1st quarter, you had the starters on the court sans Hayward.
Then Hayward comes in with the 2nd unit and plays really well with Kyrie on the bench.
Is it possible Kyrie and Hayward don't gel well together?
It was nice to get the W but imo we would've lost yesterday if we were playing a stronger opponent, especially with our lulls. Consistency is def still a big issue.
