What's up with obsession with Al Jefferson. Anyways Lee and terry wouldnt get you Big Al.
One of a few potentially available centers.
If we want to keep rr, kg, pp and at least one of green or sully then our options are limited
Al Jeff, gortat, dal...
Al brings rebounding and low post o
Gortat brings a little less rebounding, less I and better d
Dal is 7'

I'm hoping for J-Smoove and/or Big Al (hopefully both) to force the hand of their GMs.

Both have said positive things about the C's.

terry's trade value can't be much
lee's value is as a solid bench player and he is probably more valuable to us then most other teams....because
i think of trade chip is avery bradley

what could terry, bradley, bass and picks get us?

I think something like Lee to Memphis (for the trade exception) with Bradley, Melo, and either the rights to whomever we took at 16 or a heavily protected future pick for Al Jefferson might work out for all three teams.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Yep. A crappy offer from Utah's perspective. Take on a load of salary for mediocre talent and chuck away their cap space. For what? Terry and Lee. Bench guards. Very bad deal for Utah.

Expiring contracts and draft picks or a talented starter needs to be heading Utah's way.

I think people overlook the possibility of getting Big Al.  Do I think it's likely?  No.  But there must be a number of 3-ways that work.  He's an UFA and they have cheaper alternatives in house signed already like Kanter and Favors, and also have Millsap to resign.  Maybe they keep all 4 (doubtful) or maybe there's a sign and trade package better than what we can muster up.  But I don't think you can dismiss offers we may make as Utah laughing in our face because hes an UFA.  It could be about getting something for nothing. That said, Lee/Terry I don't see making sense for them because of the long term commitments.  But if TA walks from Memphis, perhaps Lee could be in the cards for them as someone else said above.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Utah would hang up the phone.
I'd prefer Millsap over Big Al. Better partner for KG in the paint, means KG can still play center and Millsap can roam a little more, he's way more athletic which would be good for Rondo and Green.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
