Not all that impressed with either Philly or OKC as I watched the 4th quarter today.  Paul George is a guy I'd love to have -- Russell Westbrook is not.  Simmons game is generally very impressive, but his lack of a shot (as many have pointed out) really hurts him (if that shot develops, he'll be great.

Dumb foul by Westbrook to put Embiid on the line for 3 FTs to tie it with 15 seconds left.  Embiid ties it. Then Shroeder throws it away to Butler to hand Philly the lead.  An OKC embarrassment. Then George gets 4 point play to win it (if he missed the shot, he would have been able to win it at the line) -- a Philly embarrassment.
Schroder and Westbrook trying to out bonehead one another down the stretch was hilarious.
PG and Adams are really good players though
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)

SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Simmons not being able to shoot killed them on that last possession. He got the ball and raced down the court and they gave him an open three. He looked like he thought about it for a second and then hit potatoed it to a double covered butler who had no shot.

I love watching Adams play. He's that guy who doesn't get intimidated, just goes out there and does his job and does it really well. Also brings the effort for sure.

I'm honestly not really a fan of Westbrook's style, just like Harden. He's got freakish athleticism but I feel he relies on it a little too much and it makes him real erratic out there. I feel George is the better overall player on this OKC team.

And yeah Simmons yet again proving he's a liability in the 4th quarter of a close game. They went Hack-a-Simmons and it mostly worked, and in the final possession of the game, the mistake they made was having Simmons bring the ball up with 5 seconds left. Then it forced Butler with just 1-2 seconds to hoist up a low percentage long 3, which he probably didn't expect but Simmons obviously wasn't taking the shot and he just handed it to Butler there who then got doubled.

I just went into detail about this in the "All Things Philly"thread. Philly needs a superstar that wants to take that shot not panic because he knows he can't do a thing to help his team win. It was embarrassing to watch Simmons do that then just stand right next to Butler instead of moving away and creating space for him.

Yup, completely agree. He's such a non factor from 3, it's crazy. In general his entire game has barely changed during his time in the NBA

Is James Harden just mega-Antoine Walker? Lol.

Absolutely. I could easily see Harden never taking a 3 pointer if there was such a thing as a 4 pointer. Just like Toine.

Man that would be a truly horrible spectacle. Launching 4’s and going to the line 20 times a game

Butler is going to end up leaving Philly holding the bag this summer.  I just can't see him wanting to stay on a team that is fatally flawed.

agreed, unless AD demands out and would extend with Philly if they trade simmons...AD/Butler/Embid would be a better fit
