Through Round 9:

C: DeMarcus Cousins
PF: Kelly Olynyk
SF: Omri Casspi
SG: Andrew Wiggins
PG: Kris Dunn

Bench:
G: Jerryd Bayless
F/C: Nene Hilario

Starting to really like this team. I have to hit some homeruns with my late picks, but overall I like where it is.

I like the small ball option there

C: Cousins
F: Casspi
F: Wiggins
G: Bayless
G: Dunn

I also love the idea of Cousins & Nene alongside one another against bigger frontlines.
And Olynyk can work so well alongside either Cousins or Nene.
Strong big man rotation.

I was considering starting Bayless and moving Casspi to the bench because he does so well in that role IRL. Never thought about moving Olynyk to the bench, but now I'm seriously considering it.
2021 Houston Rockets

C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but how can we be comfortable that Bosh is going to play this season?

Coming from Chris Bosh's DKC owner. I commend you sir.

Well, all of us over there (collectively) did tell him the same thing, "NO Bosh".

Fair is fair.

But yeah, if you can prove otherwise, I'll listen.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
This is the Utah Jazz roster after 9 rounds

C: Jonas Valanciunas

F: Karl-Anthony Town / Mike Scott

F: Wilson Chandler / Quincy Pondexter

F: Khris Middleton / Jonathon Simmons

G: Derrick Rose / Shaun Livingston

Seems like a decent, fun team.

I like the balance of this roster very much.  But I just realized, neither of your SF's played last year.  I assume both are good to go this year, but I'll be interested to hear what you expect from them in your presser.

Glad you mentioned about Wilson Chandler's and Q-Pon's health concerns.

http://www.denverpost.com/2016/07/07/wilson-chandler-denver-nuggets-hip-rehab/

Some interesting tidbit here.

Quote
He was cleared to play 5-on-5 in June.

As for Pondexter...

http://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/news/pelicans-quincy-pondexter-expected-to-be-healthy-for-training-camp/

Quote
The 28-year-old expects to be 100 percent healthy by the time training camp for the upcoming season begins in the fall.

It's reasonable to expect for them to start slow as they could be rusty, but they should be good to go.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

Why start Joe Johnson over Kyle Korver?

I'm not sure JJ is better than Korver anymore. I think Korver is more mobile in team defense. JJ a bit more physical man-to-man defender. Similar rebounders. JJ a better handle and passer off the dribble. Korver demands more attention off the ball. Better mover off the ball. Better shooter and more efficient. JJ a bit more of a varied scorer but not sure how much you want him creating one-on-one because his efficiency takes a hit.

I mean, you have Iggy and B.Knight doing the majority of the ball-handling and playmaking already. Then G.Monroe in the post. Is JJ's more varied offensive game more valuable in this situation than Korver's higher efficiency sniping?

I am not sure. It is close but I think I'd go with Korver over JJ.

Very deep, but no one that will likely make the difference deep in the playoffs.

Playoffs, probably.   (honestly, until we compare teams, hard to know)

Title contender, not without a big move.

LA Lakers

PG: Jrue Holiday/JJ Barea
SG: Wes Mathews/Kevin Martin/Dion Waiters
SF: Carmelo Anthony/Dion Waiters
PF: Lamarcus Aldridge/Melo
C: Zaza Pachulia / Kosta Koufos

I believe it is a playoff level team but needs a defensive swing off the bench.

I also think Koufos is the better C.

Definitely a team that has future success.  I don't like Nene as the main reserve big man though.  He is a big man physically breaking down.

If Bosh was to ever come back (which I don't think will happen)  a dangerous team.   Without him, a less talented team then when Westbrook had to lead the Thunder without Durrant.   Great individual stats, but the team results not as great.

Charlotte Hornets

Coach: Steve Clifford

C- Andrew Bogut | Marreese Speights
F- Al Horford | PJ Tucker
F- Chandler Parsons | Joe Ingles
G- JR Smith | Tyler Johnson
G- Mike Conley Jr | Raul Neto

Probably not your biggest "names" coming off the bench, but they are pretty efficient players and good to very good three point shooters.  In fact, the only guy on this team that cant shoot three's is Bogut.  Everyone else is above 38% expect Horford (34%) and Conley (36%).

Low end playoff team perhaps.  Depends on how Parsons bounces back.

I will be honest, I didn't expect to go with two rookies, but they were just to great of values when I picked them.   I mean, which real NBA team would trade the veteran players drafted around them (in this game) for them?
