Looks like the start of a playoff team in a vacuum.

If D Rose can't succeed with that supporting cast around him, he can't succeed with anything. It's a championship level team if you believe in Rose.

Knicks select Marcus Morris

[dang] you. I really thought he was going to make it to me this round.

Baffled his brother went before him, Marcus is clearly the better player.

Just to explain my thought process in preferring Markieff.

Marcus had a strong year for Detroit while Markieff was stinking it up early for Phoenix, but I think Markieff has been the more talented brother with better peak production for their entire careers.

Marcus smoother on the perimeter, but softer in the paint and on the boards and thus stuck with more of the downsides of the 3/4 tweener than Kieff, who has been able to hack it as a pure 4.

The stats bear this out - Kieff is the more prolific scorer, the better rebounder and the better defender. And once he got out of Phoenix (where he was dogging it) and got settled in Washington, he immediately snapped out of his dreadful offensive funk (career low .46TS%) and returned to peak form.

His last 20 games to finish out the season with Washington: 27 mpg, 14/6 on 49/37/71 shooting splits (also 2nd best in the rotation after Wall in terms of raw plus/minus). Per 36, that's 18/8 on 55+ TS%, on par with his excellent work with Phoenix the prior two years.

Darn. I love how Kyrie fits with those two.

There's good enough defense on the front court, and good chemistry in the process. Rebounding should not be a concern with Drummond. And when needed, Kyrie can take over the offense.

It's a core of a complete looking team.

Picking in the back-middle of the first is very difficult. Hoping to upgrade my team a bit. Let me know.

It's looking like a decent trio, TRS, but there's not a lot of star power (if I may) here at the moment.

The next couple of rounds is going to be tricky for you. I'd like to see how the team will shape up, as there are some holes you have to fill here.

I moved back twice so my high end isn't quite there but I like the fit and versatility. I need the right power forward but would love some feedback/thoughts

You don't want to play Myles Turner at PF? Wasn't he playing that position this year?

It's still hard for me to fathom that either Bradley Beal or Eric Bledsoe will play more that 60 games each. I can see Bledsoe having a healthy season, but not Beal. That's going to hurt.

Yes, I like Myles at the PF as well. Give Adams 28-32mpg. Stagger the subs to give Turner the remaining minutes at center. Have Turner split his time (roughly 50-50) between PF and C.

I would start Turner and Adams together and bring a PF off the bench as a 6th man. Turner and Adams would give GSW a very strong defensive mindset to open up games.
