Thoughts on Holiday- Carmelo- Aldridge?

Despite the fact that I'm not a big fan of Holiday, I think this is probably one of the better trios so far.

Do you plan on adding a center or do you plan on starting LMA there?

Honestly it will be dependent on who is available.  I think LMA at the 5 would have an advantage offensively against any center, and could defensively handle the majority.

I think LMA at the 5 and Melo at the 4 would expose a lot of teams defensively.

Yeah. I'd go with this route. LMA is a competent enough rim protector to play C. My only concern is will LMA be able to handle physical centers like Dwight Howard without having foul trouble?

First, how many centers could he not handle?  Maybe 5 out of 30 starting cemters?  Second how many of hose 5 could handle his offensive game off the dribble/ midrange away from the basket

LMA at the 5 defensively is less about individual defensive match-ups than team D. He's just not the impact defender that you want at the 5 - not a big time deterrent at the rim, not a big hustle guy, not super physical. Good rebounder and mobile so he's not a liability, but playing him at the 5 puts pressure on you to fill the rest of the roster with high intensity defenders if you want to field a strong defensive squad.

That's fair, but Jrue is part of that with having an elite perimeter defender

It's not just defending the Centers one on one, it's all the stuff.

Not blowing my own horn here, but Jonas Valanciunas is a bruising, tough Center. Yes, he may not have the quick foot speed to defend LMA, but for every missed shot, you're going to expect LMA trying to fight J-Val on the paint for positioning, that's going to be tough, and taxing for him.

It will be physically demanding for Aldridge to go against the likes of Dwight Howard, DeAndre Jordan, Hassan Whiteside and I count a few more. He does have the size, and a big advantage offensively vs those guys, which is why it's not bad to lean towards playing him at Center. I'm just saying that could be the only set back.

2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.

SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal

OKC Thunder

PG: Jeff Teague
SG: Rodney Hood
SF:
PF: Ryan Anderson
PF/C: Draymond Green

A lot of shooting and spacing on this team, perfect for a Teague-Green pick and roll.

But can Draymond go full-time Center for the rest of the games? I get playing him on small ball lineup spurts, but I'm not sure he's a capable 30+ minutes a game at C exclusive.

I think he could get a center in the next 2-4 rounds play him 20 minutes a game and that issue is solved. I agree that 30+ minutes a game over the course of the season would cause him to break down.

For those of you wondering, my guys NEARLY cover the full 22'9" to the three point arc. We've got 7'1", 7'3", and 7'4" wingspans. Thoughts? I'm happy to return the favor.

As I stated earlier. Its most likely that Anderson ends up being my sixth man and Dray starts at the four and plays minutes there. But I only have 4 guys for a five man sport so I just listed it that way. With another wing, this would be my small ball lineup, but it won't be my starting lineup.

I took Anderson because I loved him as a space making PF in a small ball lineup and loved that he could give my bench a high scoring threat that can shoot the three. I envision Dray taking on a larger scoring role on a regular basis than the 3rd option he is with the real life Warriors. Anderson being able to bring 17 PPG off the bench is huge for my offense

Marcus smart.
I like this pick. He can take pressure off of Steph on defense.

Smart is awesome. Does so much to help his teammates on D.

Brook Lopez too. Beef up the perimeter D to limit how much is asked of Brook on D.

Also belatedly, jealous of the Smart pick. I'm expecting a big leap from Marcus this season and would've loved to pair him with Giannis in the backcourt.

We might lack superstar talent, but that's four high quality two-way players.

I love those two together, but I think overall youre lacking in some talent. You need some BPA picks in the next two rounds that also fit in their roles to ensure your team is still competitive.

There are lots of guys still available and you have the picks, just seal the deal with your starting 5 and you're good.

Absolutley love it. I dont think marcs injuries will affect him past this year, and the rest of the team fits pretty well. One thing you're missing is some shooting. Get that and were jiving
