Great comeback.

Anybody else like Rondo's dismissal of Aldridge?

Sixers have been unbeaten in the 4th quarter...until today. Playoff Celtics!

OMG, that was one of the best post game dismissals I've ever seen. Mature, to the point, not having any of that nonsense type stuff.

*Cut him off* "It may not be. Look at us. We'll be fine." *Walks away*

Good god. How did I miss that earlier?

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
I LOVE KEVIN GARNETT!

Great game! Get some rest, KG. You too, David Aldridge (cuz you just got OWNED by Rondo!)
I like Marcus Smart

I still don't get why people say we played so bad. Even in the first half we weren't playing that poorly the shots just weren't falling. I lost count of all the shots that rattled out at the beginning of the 3rd.
Actually, I was thinking: if those shots fall, Rondo will have what, 4, 5 more assists in just that first half? Maybe more? He had 8 at the half right?
Yeah something like that though KG Pierce probably would have gotten some assists too.

Garnett carried us once again.  Dominant performance by the team MVP.  While Ray and Pierce were obviously hurting, KG beasted all over the court.

Rondo had a strange game. I remember specifically at one point seeing a graphic flash that he had 12 assists.  I said to myself, "Wow... 12 assists?  He has been horrible in this game. We're down by 10 points.  When did he manage to get 12 assists?"... but as the game progressed he came through HUGE.  6-15 shooting and 7 turnovers to go with a 13 points, 17 assists, 12 rebounds and 4 steals.  A couple rare huge shots down the stretch.  I'll take it.

But that was all KG tonight, baby.  Big men win titles and right now KG is playing as good as he's ever played on the Celtics.  That's good.  That's very good.  If Ray and Pierce can get healthy we might make some noise.

Game 4 of the Atlanta series kinda spoiled the fans a little bit . We will want a game like that each and every time because we know they can do it. Nevertheless... It's 1-0 Celtics now. So I'm happy.

a win is a win, if we beat them by 1 or 21 it's still 1 W, so I'm happy with it. The main good point other than the win is that no one got injured (although Hollins came really close to killing himself on that alley oop attempt from Rondo)

Not with Pierce injured like he is now--now just eking out a win is big.

Pierce is basically a shell of his former self, we need to hope that that sprain gets better each day cause if he looks like this against Miami, we are in big trouble.

I watch the games, and I marvel at how much I love this team and how great a basketball team this is.  Then, I peruse the game threads on CelticsBlog and am informed about how much they stink.
