Matchups to Watch vs
Last season, the matchup between Paul Pierce and Quentin Richardson got very chippy. At one point, QRich called Pierce out to fight him. This is a matchup to watch as there is bad blood between these two players.
vs
Zach Randolph is one of the Knicks top scorers and they go inside often. There is going to be quite a battle inside between these two big centers.
Honorable Mention Rajon Rondo vs Chris Duhon
Rondo has been struggling somewhat lately and Duhon has been playing well for the Knicks. The Knicks want to run and it will be up to Rondo to slow Duhon down and in doing so, slow the Knicks offense down as well.
Game NotesThe Knicks are playing well under their new coach. In their last game, they had 6 players in double figures including their starting 5. They will look to run at every opportunity and just like most every team in the league, the Knicks are also stressing defense. They also have 3 players in the top 20 in 3 point shooting including Jamal Crawford who leads the league in three's made. They have been hard hit with injuries and are playing short handed.
