What's your favourite system?

1. A point system where the winner of each night earns 4 points. 2nd place worths 2 points, 3rd place 1 point. So far:

Redz      16
CelticsWhat35   9
shiggins   7
Emperor Young   7
darklord   7
Hoyo de Mont.   6
Edgar      4
JBcat      4
xmuscularghan.   4
cordobes   4
RichT24      4
ACF      2
Celtics1990   2
Nerf DPOY   2
Kwhit10   15.3   1
makaveli   1
Crownsy    1
nickagneta   1
ManUp      1
Gomesfan   0
ChampKind   0
Toine43     0
Chris      0

2. Another possible punctuation system consists on accumulating the positive by-offs. I think it'd be unfair to accumulate the negatives because it'd penalize those who play the game with some regularity but aren't very fortunate, like Nickagneta or...er... me. So, if a player scores under his season average, that counts as 0 points. Classification so far:

   Accumulated score
Redz           73.6
shiggins   45.5
CelticsWhat35   37.5
darklord   35.5
Edgar           24.7
JBcat           23.2
Emperor Young   21.3
cordobes   19.6
RichT24           18.6
ACF           18.4
Hoyo de Mont.   16.9
Kwhit10           15.3
xmuscularghan.  14.7
Chris           8.6
makaveli   6.7
Nerf DPOY   4.8
Crownsy           4.1
nickagneta   3.1
Celtics1990    2.9
ManUp           1.9
Gomesfan   0
ChampKind   0
Toine43           0

I've tried to come up with a system that would give the field a chance of beating Redz, but my efforts were in vain. So, just the pick one you do better.

Wow Cordobes...TP for sorting through all this to figure that out - you know how I love a good spreadsheet!  When I thought this game up I had something like that in mind, but I already have too many lists to keep track of!  The cumulative set is nice, perhaps you could include games picked and do an average.
Yup

ps - cordobes, if you are interested I created a template for a spreadsheet that will transfer data into formatted tables...I use it for the MVP Poll results and the TP Honor Roll.  It does a nice job.

I love a good spreadsheet!

Heh, really? Well, to each his own. And this is not a good one. But I once found a very good blog entirely dedicated to spreadsheets, with a good bunch of them being fantasy basketball related. I'll see if I can dig it for you.

That's easy, I'll add in the next update (1 update per week is as far as I'll personally go).

Check your e-mail, you can get the data and edit at will.

Well, I guess we can keep both and then decide later. Or have a mano a mano between the winners of each system in the Finals.

Sad, but true. I love messing around with Excel.

I'd taken your data and put it on a new sheet that did the averages automatically.  I just forgot to save it.

Yup

TP for dark_lord.

Edgar and I lose out again.
My pick wasn't that good.
But the Cavaliers lost so it's OK  ;)
