Whiskey is a power house.

Clarification:  does whiskey only include shots / straight up, or can it be mixed with non-alcoholic mixers?  (i.e., water, soda, juice, etc.)?

I was told it can only be straight up. If you take a liquor

But someone could select whiskey and coke and only serve that.

Ya that was my thinking because since we arent doing brands of liquor, if somebody took whiskey for instance, and then got every possible variation on it, that would be too much of a powerhouse

Ah, interesting.  In that case, whiskey is still solid, but not nearly as versatile as hoped for.

Specialty shots and/or mix drinks (3)
A type of liquor can be selected but could be redrafted in a mix. For example if rum is selected as a specialty shot, rum & coke could be selected as a specialty mix.
You can specify the brand yourself, but when someone picks a liquor its off the table. So if Captain's is picked you can't select Admiral Nelson's

Still unclear to me, can IP serve Whiskey and coke since taking whiskey or no?

Ok that then changes what I would pick next.

My house band.

Arcade Fire

Believe it or not, if I didn't get the Roots I was going to pick them.

They are absolutely amazing live.  No doubt, a great bar band.

A bit of a tone-setter too. Kinda paint a picture of where you're bar would go.

That's the song title. The bands called The Suburbs

No, the album is called "The Suburbs".  It won the 2011 Grammy for Album of the Year.

The band is called Arcade Fire.  Canadian rock band.

Me and IP are referring to a site that was created when after the Grammy's people kinda misquoted the Arcade Fire. Them being referred to as "The Suburbs" was one of the more common guffaws.

KWHIT IS UP, YOU HAVE UNTIL 11:40 TO MAKE YOUR SELECTION

Before I pick can I get the clarification on choosing liquors.  That means you can only serve the liquor neat/rocks or shots correct?  You can't mix it with anything?

This is exactly how I interpreted the rule.

I do not know the answer to this question.
With pick #7, The Cause and Cure bypasses the obvious choice and goes with:

Andre the Giant, Bouncer (and notorious drinker).  Andre will be working for free drinks, which is probably a loss on our part, but ain't nobody starting no stuff in this establishment.

For more on Andre's prodigious drinking:

http://www.drunkard.com/issues/10_06/10_06_andre_giant.html

That makes twice that I've had a binky taken.

[dang], [dang], double, [dang]. The notion of having a 7ft 5 inch 500lb bouncer with a thick accent and a penchant for rhyming, that was a pipe dream after-all. Well done, sir.

This is exactly how I interpreted the rule.

Basically the way I understand it, someone else can't choose 'Jameson', or 'Jack Daniels', or 'Bourbon', or 'Jameson on the rocks', but they can choose 'Jack and Coke', or 'Jameson and Ginger'.

Works for me.  The ruling changed my 1st round pick.
