He really was one of the first stretch power forwards I can recall.  Would have done very well in today's NBA.

Rest in peace, Cliff Robinson.

I remember watching him as a kid with Porter and Drexler and Jerome Kersey and Duckworth. RIP.

I was just looking at his career numbers.  He really had a good long solid career.  And a UCONN legend too.

RIP

Ohh man. That is a bummer.

You don't expect guys that young to die.

Always liked Uncle Cliffy. Especially towards the end of his career. His defense and old head were very valuable. Young Cliffy was talented but inconsistent. Old Cliffy was a winner.

The story I've always heard is he started wearing a headband so his grandma (or maybe mom) would be able to identify him on TV. If true, that's a pretty sweet gesture.

Very sad. I'm not sure I heard that he had a brain hemorrhage in 2017. But anyway, this is terrible for his family.

I loved his Blazers teams.  He would have been a beast today.

Those Blazers team were fun to watch, and it's too bad they didn't win a title. And I agree that he would've been great in today's game with his ability to stretch the floor.

According to Jim Calhoun he had a stroke 2.5 years ago. Man, what a complete bummer.

Cliff saw some insane change in the NBA. He went head to head with Adrian Dantley and Andrea Bargnani. Dantley was drafted in 1976, Bargnani was taken in 2006!

RIP Cliff. One of the original do-it-all stretch bigs

I loved those late 80s/early 90s Blazers teams.  Imagine what they could've done if they had gotten Arvydas when he was in his prime.  The Lakers, Pistons, Bulls, and Rockets may not have as many championships.

I remember going to a preseason game in 2006 against the nets and he was on the floor, my friend and I were shocked he was still in the league.

We were close to the court for that game behind the basket and during foul shots we started yelling “Kevin duckworth” and he started cracking up and would make comments to us every time down court after that.

Pretty funny experience for me, he seemed like a good guy. RIP
