Over a year has passed but some follow up.

Did the cop say he was assaulted and is collecting workers comp now?  ::)

That's some bull. Obviously the white cop (another one, not surprised) initiated the shoving and punching twice and now he's trying to sue Masai Ujiri. And this is a cop with a sheriff's title working as a security guard, so he's making all the security guards look bad with his action.

This is an international issue and I hope Canada makes the US pay for it. Sick of these cops here getting a slap in the wrist or trying to retaliate when they're in the wrong.

I don't see how the security guard has any defense or claim at all.

Not only that, not only did this cop create the incident...he also is a lowlife...in his lawsuit claiming he suffered mental and physical trauma that has wrecked his life.  He should lose more than he's already lost, whatever that may be.

Insane. Not remotely surprising, but insane.

The suit claims Ujiri had a "violent predisposition" and acted with an "evil motive amounting to malice". Racist as hell. Hope they go as hard after this scumbag as possible

This is the crux of this issue and a lot of related issues. Not that this officer did something wrong but that even though he is obviously in the wrong, law enforcement falls in line, refuses to acknowledge the wrongdoing and so nothing will change.

just another case of corrupt police , this time  provoking a fight to turn it into big payday with assistance of money grubbing lawyers at his back  looking to rob the deep pockets of,the Raptors organization.  But these days s....everybody is on the take and i don't trust even the judges.

money grubbing lawyers? I bet the Raptors lawyers grub more money than the plaintiff's lawyers. People are quick to attack lawyers in this country, but run to get their lawyer when they need one.
