So I missed the game and am trying to catch up.  Would everyone call this one a ‘good loss’?  Sounds like they competed and gave the Bucks a playoff level game.

Yes, I would describe it as that. Good show by Celts on the road, unfortunately, our go-to guy had an off night.

Such an ugly game. Both teams looked really rusty having a week off.

That said, this is a game we win 80% of the time. Kyrie had a bad night. Yeah he got warm in the 4th but if he was himself we are playing with a lead most of the game and not down a few possessions most of the second half.

Obviously, having Hayward and Baynes makes a huge difference. I saw a lot of erroneous calls (both ways) and a few lucky shots (the Lopez banked trey). All in all, we played better than them. Sure the scoreboard said they were 1 point better, but I think we proved we aren’t scared of them and nearly pulled it out without two integral players.

Celtics probably won’t get into the top-2, but I’m not too worried about them on the road for some reason. It seems like when this team clamps down and focuses, they are very difficult to beat, anywhere. They just seem lackadaisical or content with going through the motions for stretches that alter games. I don’t believe that will happen in the playoffs.

Very much like a playoff game and we had a chance to win with the last possession. Al continues to show well against star centers. Tatum continues to play well and Jaylen too. Kyrie had a very bad game, our point guards were a combined 13-43 from the field, and we had 2 rotation players out. So a one-point road loss in the first game after the ASG to the team with the best record in the league is a "good" loss given the circumstances.

Is Brad allergic to riding the hot hand or what? Playing Jaylen around 25 minutes and only having him shoot 9 shots in total? The Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. is with his hatred of Jaylen?

9-27 from Kyrie? Ouch

8-21 from Horford ... ow ... wow, when is the last time Horford shot the ball 21 times in a single game? Oddly impressive he was that aggressive. Unusual.

Still, 1 point loss when those guys were 17-48 from the field. That is a good omen for future matchups with the Bucks.

When horfod rebounds, the celtics look great. But just a bad shooting night for us.
I cant stand terry anymore.
I wish Al would try to score after grabbing a rebound, he is automatically looking to pass it out.

Jaylen is so underrated. When the playoffs start I really want him to get starter minutes. Brown does have problems guarding Giannis, but so does Tatum.

Who doesn't have a trouble guarding him?

Yeah, imo he's a very good 3 and D player while also being able to create his own shot.

Our inability to get to the line when shots don't fall will be a bigger problem in the playoff.
