I don't want to try to predict PP's averages, but I think he will help that Wizards team quite a bit this season.

If I had to guess, though, I do think he'll be good for more than 10 PPG this season.

This thread should be in Celtics Talk. Paul Pierce is and forever will be a Celtic, doesn't matter where he's currently playing.

i say 9 ppg

that is super low
in limited minutes paul will:
be a lane filler on fast break (2 pts)
be a trailer on fast break (3 pts)
have 2 mid range jumpers (4 pts)
1 rebound put back (2 pts)
and a corner three on the swing of the ball (3 pts)

funny thing is over the course of the game a really old paul pierce can do all these easily within the flow of the game, no iso ball at all
:P  wait this comes up to 14 pts
when you look at the content of the shots anyone have any doubt he isn't going to be about exact to this number??
the KING of the mid  range game can score

Read an article about Pierce mentoring Porter Jr.  Having watched clips of Porter... that kid is already a pretty crafty scorer.  It will be cool to see what he picks up from Pierce and how his career is impacted from having a future hall of famer showing him the ropes this year.  Whether Porter takes the starting role this year or next, he should be set up for a bright future.

It's really a shame that Boston didn't have any elite SF or PF prospects on the team when KG and Pierce were here.  Maybe Sully picked up some stuff from KG, but he's a pretty different player with a limited ceiling.

Sully with a more limited ceiling than Otto Porter?  Please.

side thought, in terms of a crafty scorer
i am impressed with turner being able to find "pockets" to score in much like paul did, even doesn't have pierce's range but that mid range game is very much alike
