With Hayward out we may get to see what Tatum's future holds.  Hopefully he shows us that All NBA talent for an extended period of time.

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield

I just reset the poll

last time it was 6 for Tatum, 11 for Siakam, 12 for Simmons

can we try this again...  ;D

Tatum is better imo

The only guy who might be a tad better is Doncic.  Though Tatum may have surpassed him even due to his superior defense play

In terms of clutch,  Tatum and Doncic are pretty even

I think Tatum will be the best player of the 3, but anyone who says Siakham is justified in doing so. He's a beast.

But Tatum is 4 years younger. His arc blows every other forward under 25 away, IMO.

Doncic is a point guard, kind of apples and oranges. He's one of the few players for whom I might trade Tatum.

I don't think anyone picking Simmons has a leg to stand on. The guy completely lacks the single most important skill in basketball. IMO, no way he belonged on the all star team.

1) Siakam

2) Simmons
3) Tatum

Simmons and Tatum is close. I could go either way.

What is your reasoning?

Did you see the game last night (Raps vs Bucks)

Siakam was pretty bad.  Not saying Simmons/Tatum don't have off games ,but Siakam can't be relied on clutch situations

Seems like a very good #2 or #3  type player

I can show you games where Tatum was worse if thats how were doing this

I know Siakim has the reputation, but from what I've seen, Siakim is all-effort, but not a great overall defender. Kinda' in the mold of a Kenneth Faried.

Tatum is the best defender of the three. That tells you what I think of the three of them as defenders, because I only think Tatum is an above average to good defender.

I’m recalibrating my thinking about what Tatum is capable of after the last few weeks and especially last night. To do that at 21 against Kawhi - and a pretty good team on both sides of the ball. That’s next-level. Obviously he has to keep going, but if this is a sign of things to come Tatum has the highest ceiling. Elite scorer - excellent shooting, elite length, body control, timing, handles. The whole package. And still *very* early in his development.

Right now, today, if I had to win one game? It’s a tough choice. Tell me who else is on the team. Four years from now? Unless Simmons shows a lot more mental toughness than he has to date, my money is on Tatum as #1 of these 3.

If looked at honestly I think this poll could change week to week.
You can’t go to wrong with any of the 3.
Tatum is having a good season and a great month.
Siakim puts up numbers.
Simmons for a guy with no jumper scores easily .
Today I ‘d vote Simmons, and I hate the Sixers. In 2 weeks maybe Jason.

I thought it might be fun to bump this topic. The initial poll results (as indicated by triboy) were: Simmons - 12, Siakam - 11, Tatum - 6. The poll was reset in February and the results speak for themselves. But here we are, having swept a Simmons-less Sixers team and seeing a less than impressive Siakam in game 1. Perhaps triboy could give the results another reset - maybe Tatum can win in a sweep this time  ;)

I reset the poll using mod powers, mwahaha.

Gonna vote for JT again!

You must have missed the first round series against the Sixers because we were told repeatedly Simmons is the best defender on Earth. Not even Pippen could lock down a player like the almighty Simmons can. Bill Russell could only wish to have the impact defensively that good ol' Ben does.

Hey - alright, tp! I mean, by February, Tatum was winning in a landslide, but it should be fun to see that lead increase now. Unfortunately, we already have a vote for Simmons  >:(

But the initial results are the most interesting and it just goes to show how much Tatum has grown this past season. Even his own fanbase had him in last place in November.

Everybody knows that Ben Simmons is the fusion of Hakeem and Gary Payton!
