The Red Sox are rapidly turning into the Miami Heat of baseball.

I could live with that.  Make the playoffs and make some noise this year, then really throw down next season when everybody is comfortable with one another.

That's not basketball.

Baseball largely is an individual sport, where there is very little teamwork to be concerned about. You bat and play your position on defense, and that's about it.

There's more to baseball than just standing in your spot and waiting for something to happen. They absolutely work as a team...
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

Eh I disagree.  There is some team work to it, but not much.  For the team to succeed you need, many individuals to perform well.  In basketball, it's a lot different.  Ray Allen and Paul Pierce's success is directly related to Rajon Rondo and vise versa.  In baseball, Carl Crawford's success isn't related to David Ortiz's success.  Now on the defensive/pitching end sure, but offensively, not so much.  I understand you protect certain hitters and that allows others to see pitches, but you still need that individual to succeed on his own.
do it

Do the Red Sox realize that spring training is over and the regular season has begun?

Or are they under the impression that the regular season doesn't start until they play at Fenway?

(and just as I say that, the Indians go up big with yet another HR)

Well ik Varitek still thinks it's spring training with that bone head play that should have been a tag out.

Ugh... what could have been a huge double play turns into a fielders choice and then a three run shot right after.

Good god are they annoying at the moment.  Few things worse than a dead baseball team.  I know they'll wake up and be dangerous, but sheesh!

A basketball team with the switch turned off?

It's up there, but at least hoops teams give you a day or two in between to renew your hope.  When a baseball team is struggling it is very contagious, and it's a daily misery.

Yeah, the Red Sox just look pretty awful up and down.  They're not doing anything particularly well right now.  The fact that they have as much talent on their roster as any other team in the league just makes it even more maddening.
