That's some high quality sopa. I like the one my mother-in-law makes with yuca, chicken, cilantro leaves, achote, corn and potatoes. Yum.

SOPA is an infringement on your 1st Amendment right to free speech.  This is another example of rich-Corporate America taking away your civil rights so that they can make more money.




Rich corporate America can't do anything if they don't have power-hungry politicians to enact their desires. I'd say this is more on politicians who are overstepping their authority.

basically it would kill internet advertising. Without those, lots of free sites would shut down. The gaming community is adamant against this, as well as governments of several countries. The international backlash is huge if it pushes through.

I like to think SOPA is not something that was ever meant to pass.  It is beyond extreme for a reason.  However, what it is doing is starting to drum up discussion, and set the table for a much more reasonable bill (that I honestly do think is needed), which will do more to protect peoples rights online.
