I wouldn't be against this deal....but,

"Amare's brain is like Boris Diaw going left"

It doesn't happen! lol

It's so rarely used, but when its used it works, but most of the time they dont know how to use it, and holds them back from being the best they can be.

Stoudamire, JRich and Barbosa to BOS
Ray,Perk,Scal,Tony and BBD to PHO

HOPEFULLY Ray could get bought out. The big thing here is that Phoenix frees up tons of salary to make a run at 2 names this summer.

We on the other hand are killed with luxury tax, but are stacked with a contending team

Rondo  -  Nate
Ray  -  Richardson/Barbosa
Pierce  -  Marquis  -  Walker
KG  -  Sheldon  -  2 Free agents(Drew Gooden,Kurt Thomas)
Stoudamire  -  Sheed
Can't stop, Rondo!

Phx, wouldn't buyout Ray in this situation, especially if both of their SG's are involved in the deal (jrich-barbosa)..That would leave them very very thin at the guard positions.

Not only that but Amare, Richardson and Barbosa represent $38 million of new payroll for next year.  Add that to KG/PP and you'd already be at $78 mil for 5 players.

Throw in Perk if necessary.

I don't think there's a way to get Amare without giving up Perk. I'd be all over that, though.

I think one of the two #1 picks would need to be well into the future and unprotected. 2013 or 2014.

Otherwise, it doesn't create enough value for the Suns.

yep. and I'd do it....Amare could be a really fun addition...
And willing to pay Amare $17-20 million a year on a three year contract extension (four years) or a five year deal this summer?

Finally,
a forum topic that makes sense.
And yes, Amare is worth every cent.

What other Center/PF would you rather have.
Hey, don't get me wrong, I'd take Al Jefferson back in a heartbeat.  But Amare is a stud.  Not many players out there with that kind of athleticism and scoring talent in the post.

And Defense.  Is a matter of attitude.  Which one of you were accusing Paul Pierce of defense before Tom T came to town.

Besides,,,Tommy Heinson would have fun saying AMARE!!! that would make up for the loss of WAlta

I believe they obvious Tommy phrase would be "That's Amare!" which will go over just about as well as his House puns.

Okay, i can't figure out how to share it, but it works on trade machine.
Ray, Wallace and Scal for Amare and Richardson.

Why, because I really want it to happen.

Amare and Richardson for Scal, Ray & Perk plus pick works.

Those two athletes would allow us to run with ATL and anyone else. I wouldn't do it if I were PHX, but if they want to shed salary that badly, let's take advantage.

Phoenix would be crazy to trade Amare without getting a near All Star in return.  If Kobe is hurt then Phoenix has as good a chance as anyone to come out of the West.

I think the deal is Amare and Richardson for Ray and Perk. It meets both teams needs.

Please Amare at the 4 and move KG to the 5 -- where he belongs in his old age. Sheed is there to throw a little more weight / gut at bigger centers.

Management would never ever ever sign off on taking on Richardsons contract.

Even if KG is not playing well it also doesn't make sense to have two Max players at the same position.

Amare plays some 5 in the uptempo Suns system but could not do it for us because we are more of a defensive team (and he doesn't play defense).

For those of you who would want to trade him and then move to an uptempo style, here are the problems.
1. Ray and Paul would both have heart attacks running all game long.
2. You can't change the teams system half way through the season and for that matter why would you want to (this system did yield a championship)
3. If you think KG looks old now, see what happens if we ran him all game like Phoenix does, my guess would be knee injury.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Have you seen KG before?  He is NOT a Center!  He is barely a PF.....
