Well, if you called "The Sixers make the playoffs thanks to the heroics of Nicolas Batum" before this game, take a bow.

Jontay Porter might try to get in touch with you soon too, lol.

Butler was a decoy the entire 4th quarter. He clearly was hobbled

Miami doesn’t have enough offense with Jimmy to beat Boston. Now without him or with him hurt…no chance

I'm glad we don't play Philly in the first round.  Would get sick of watching Nurse's whiny ass real quick.  And we'd have to watch Embiid and Lowry flop all over the place.

Yeah, I know Embiid isn’t 100%, but the Sixers were the 2nd best team in the ECF with him. The Heat are legitimately the 8th best team. They are both annoying teams, but I feel we are better equipped to deal with the Heat this year

The C's are way better equipped to handle Miami's zone defense with Porzingis and Jrue.

Something people forget is that, as much as I loved Timelord and he could be a game changer on defense, the guy was super limited on offense. Could only dunk or make layups. No offensive game. Smart teams and well-coached ones like Miami and Golden State exploited that. But now you can't ignore Porzingis, and he's an underrated passer too. Jrue is also unselfish and can make good decisions.

But if MIA is leaving guys wide open for the C's I think they'll get burned. Hauser is someone who could feast similar to a Reddick/Korver who have torched us in the past off the bench. Can't cover everyone.

PHI actually didn't shoot that well today either especially the first half, but then Batum started to burn them and so did Embiid late.

What happened at the end there with Maxey and Embiid?

Embiid’s inbound could have been a turnover if there was any time left. Imagine if there was like 2 or 3 seconds and Miami got the ball back with a chance to win?

Heat fans are starting to realize last year was an anomaly.

Joe needs to be running every practice against the zone.

Hope Chicago wins this game.

I'm still glad we avoided PHI despite how they looked and Embiid being hobbled. Idk, they still have a pretty deep team now and the fact that Batum just came out of nowhere and was their MVP tonight proves that. Nick Nurse > Doc Rivers at least. Plus all the flopping and whining from Lowry and others. Wouldn't have been an easy series. Neither will the Heat but they aren't as talented as recent years and also Butler may be more hurt. Surprisingly it seems like Bam isn't involved as much, in fact today they seemed to do a lot better with Love out there than Bam.

This happens with every fan base obviously, so I don't understand why people get bent out of shape when similar comments end up on this site.  It's only annoying when the complaints have a pattern of being unjustified.

Last season Philly's fans were calling for Embiid's head.  Trade him.  He's a bum, can't get it done when it counts.  This is despite the fact that their team is clearly a complete non-threat without him.

Boy we thought MIA-PHI looked sluggish.... this Bulls-Hawks game so far is setting the game back at least 10 years  :P

And what are the chances that Batum does that again in the next 4-5 games?  If the Sixers need 20+ from Batum in every game to win, they aren't going to make it out of the first round.   I guess the knicks are missing Randle too, so they are not whole either.  But that 76ers win tonight wasn't very impressive to me.

Yeah, they seem much less dangerous than the Hawks, or the Heat for that matter. The Hawks can be very explosive offensively, especially with a super speedy guard like Young who is unguardable at times. That can win you a game or two in the series. As for the Heat, they're a tough, defensive-minded team that will grind you to the end.

Chicago, on the other hand, is pretty "meh" all around. Very likely a sweep in that series, and likely not a close one either.
