We're 2-0 so far to start the New Year and the month of January  ;D

Here's the schedule for the rest of the month:

1/7 - BKN
1/9 - IND
1/10 - @MIA
1/12 - @ORL
1/14 - @BKN
1/16 - TOR
1/18 - MEM
1/19 - @ATL
1/21 - MIA
1/23 - CLE
1/26 - GSW
1/28 - BKN
1/30 - CHA

One thing you'll notice right off the bat is that we have a lot of home games this month. We've already had 2 (MIN and DAL this past week) and our next 9 of 13 games are at home, including a few games against elite teams (TOR, GSW, IND).

Hayward and Brown are starting to figure it out it seems, and our defense has also looked a lot better as of late (still not perfect, but getting there). We're also starting to take care of business against the mediocre/bad teams more often, which is something we seemingly also struggled to do earlier in the season.

The injuries really do suck and we obviously have to account for them, but this could still be a nice month for the C's. We're 2-0 so far this month, and I think we can go something like 10-3 for the rest of the month (13 games left), which hopefully includes statement wins over at least 2 but hopefully all of Indiana, Toronto and Golden State!

Doing so would put us at 33-18 at the end of the month, which hopefully could launch us to the 3 seed and very close to the Top-2 teams in the East (Milwaukee, Toronto). Milwaukee and Indiana have looked red hot lately but fortunately for us, neither of the Top-3 teams in the East are really running away with anything, so hopefully the 1-2 seed(s) could still be there for the taking by March and beyond.

Things are starting to look up (we're 13-5 in our last 18 overall) and hopefully we can get as healthy as possible for the 2nd half and into the playoffs  ;D

As long as we dont have any more significant injury, esp to Horford, I think we are gonna win 9+

If we lose Horford Id say 6.

Good thread idea, TP. This could be a good monthly topic.

I thought 9-10, I think we beat Indy if Ky is back.

Since 9-10 isn’t an option and I don’t know about Kyrie, I said 9.

I said 9. But I really need to see them play well vs Indy/TOR/GS. It will be big barometer. Cs seem to be figuring it out so hopefully they pass those tests.

Zero games in which we shouldn’t be favored.

Really just have to keep the intensity against games we know we should win.

Our three toughest games are all at home, which is nice.

Brooklyn is feisty, got to take them seriously seeing them three times in three weeks.

GF got me tix to the GSW game, so obviously most stoked for that one. Gonna make a weekend trip out of it so we need to win that game especially!

Toughest opponents for sure.  I chose 10-3 for the month.  They will lose EITHER the GSW or the TOR game, not both (they are home games).  Indy could be a loss and then one other surprise loss (like @BKN).

one guy that always seems to impact the team in bad way is when Horford is hurt .   Just can't have him and Baynes out .  We get throttled by any team with an even average center.

If Al and Marcus can stay in the lineup I usually give us a fair chance.

Maybe 9 wins

I’m looking at that Miami game. Travel to 2d half of a back to back, and the Heat usually bring a lot of effort.

If Jaylen brown and Hayward are finally figuring it out and the last two games is what we will see. then watch out, because we will be hard to beat.

just hope they can keep up the level of play once kyrie comes back

Yep, absolutely.

Like I said in the post, hopefully we can win against all three but even winning 2 of those 3 would be great IMO. I'd like to beat IND and then one of TOR/GSW at the least. If IND beats us then it might mean similar to how we seem to have PHI's number... likewise maybe IND has ours and they are another team we need to completely worry about (not MIL and/or TOR).
