We're 2-0 so far to start the New Year and the month of January
Here's the schedule for the rest of the month:
1/7 - BKN
1/9 - IND
1/10 - @MIA
1/12 - @ORL
1/14 - @BKN
1/16 - TOR
1/18 - MEM
1/19 - @ATL
1/21 - MIA
1/23 - CLE
1/26 - GSW
1/28 - BKN
1/30 - CHA
One thing you'll notice right off the bat is that we have a lot of home games this month. We've already had 2 (MIN and DAL this past week) and our next 9 of 13 games are at home, including a few games against elite teams (TOR, GSW, IND).
Hayward and Brown are starting to figure it out it seems, and our defense has also looked a lot better as of late (still not perfect, but getting there). We're also starting to take care of business against the mediocre/bad teams more often, which is something we seemingly also struggled to do earlier in the season.
The injuries really do suck and we obviously have to account for them, but this could still be a nice month for the C's.
We're 2-0 so far this month, and I think we can go something like 10-3 for the rest of the month (13 games left), which hopefully includes statement wins over at least 2 but hopefully all of Indiana, Toronto and Golden State!Doing so would put us at 33-18 at the end of the month, which hopefully could launch us to the 3 seed and very close to the Top-2 teams in the East (Milwaukee, Toronto). Milwaukee and Indiana have looked red hot lately but fortunately for us, neither of the Top-3 teams in the East are really running away with anything, so hopefully the 1-2 seed(s) could still be there for the taking by March and beyond.
Things are starting to look up (we're 13-5 in our last 18 overall) and hopefully we can get as healthy as possible for the 2nd half and into the playoffs
