For Jeff Green 2.0.   Too much imo.

Maybe 100 is suffice tbh.

Do we still have enough without going over the tax for JT.?

Maybe he will be included in trade scenarios... We all know how traded Danny thinks.

Congrats to JB.

He's probably not worth that big of a contract yet, but he's a good player, and he has a lot of value. The kind of value you can't let leave for nothing.

Also, probably shows the Celtics really do think more highly of him than just a nice 2 way utility player: they think he'll become a star.

Wow!  I hope he has impressed the team a lot this training camp.  Even more, I hope he improves his ball handling, decision making, and free throw shooting and lives up to this contract.

A lot, but probably would get that in RFA anyways and now the distraction is gone. So I'm good with it, just has to keep improving steadily. Glad to have such a likeable player locked up for the next 5 years.

My only concern is if the cap drops due to loss of BRI from China. If so this could end up being a bad deal.

It's a lot, but that's just how the market is in the NBA now. Tons of guys getting bloated deals.

Anyways, glad we have Jaylen long term! He was one of the only few guys who I thought consistently tried and produced during the playoffs last season while a bunch of others seemed to just give up and not care.

I don't see any downside to this. Tatum and Brown are your future. What you pay them should reflect that. The goal from this point forward should be building a team around these two dynamic wings.

IDK, man.

If we are willing to shell that for Jaylen, wouldn't it be better if we just have him test the RFA market and match any offer?

A bad/mediocre team with cap space would have offered him max in all likelihood.

Holy crap snacks.

I've been beating the, "Jaylen Brown is gonna be an all-star in 2020" campaign drum for a while but wow. Danny trusts him.

In which case, we should just match. If we are willing to go $115 million, surely we can go for the max if it comes to that.

The flip side, is if the market is soft on him, we could get him for his fair value.

IDK. I mean, I'm stoked that we are keeping Jaylen, but man, I think we could have played the negotiations better.
