This is super, super unimportant.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I like Felger's point where he basically said grow a pair and call these guys out on their own show.

Instead Simmons prefers to "tweet" about it  ::)

I hate Bill Simmons and honestly can't understand how anyone in this blogging community we have backs him.

The guy didn't believe in Doc Rivers as a coach. It's as simple as that. He's always been the pessimistic "debbie the downer" type re: Ainge and Doc (despite their amazing track records).

He's just such the typical idiodic fan, ****ting on the Celtics when they lose and never really praising them too much when they're gelling.

The vast majority of bloggers on this site didn't believe in Doc during our 18 game losing streak, or, for that matter, any other time before the Garnett trade. Let's be honest, here.

Most of us wanted to fire Doc because he didn't give Gerald Green enough PT.

Sorry about that, Doc.

what i've always wondered: why does simmons live in LA if his career doesn't keep him there? the sports gal? the clippers? the tacos? maybe it's the weather, cuz it sure ain't the fact that he's a c's fan...

I'm not a firm believer of firing your head coach when his team is made up of a bunch mediocre 20 somethings.

There were staples in KG's knee I tell you...STAPLES!   Ooh.  Staples, as in Staples Center.  Yeah, home of the Lakers.  Oh, I mean...I'm the Sports Guy, the one who loves Boston.  Yeah, that's right.  Just write me that check ESPN.

So people don't like him because he moved to LA?  So if your friend moved to LA you would not like them anymore?

Or they don't like him because he wanted Doc fired... I guarunsheed if you found an old cblog poll of "should we fire Doc" that it would be at least 75% in favor.

I'll second that. Before the Garnett trade I wanted Doc fired and Danny coaching.

BS: Apart from his awful, Hollywood navel-gazing tendencies, I tend to find Simmons interesting and intelligent--even when I disagree with him.

WEEI: With the notable exception of the Dale & Holley Show, WEEI is pretty much a non-stop lineup of ignorant blowhards yelling at each other. Listening Dennis & Callahan and The Big Show makes me ashamed to be a Boston sports fan.

ADVANTAGE SIMMONS.

EDIT: No masked profanity.

This doesn't surprise me at all ... typical Simmons posturing. I honestly don't understand why so many people think Bill is like this Celtics guru ... the guy has been ripping the C's for a long time, bashing the management, touting his own praises above all else, and then trying to claim he's the "Celtics' Number One Fan" ... come on ... time to wake up to what this guy is really about: HIMSELF.
