Up 1-0 Kyrie pulled a Sunny Liston for four games.Winning may have upset his timetable
He bailed and it should be looked into along with his duplicity and plans on leaving.

It's clear he was gone win or lose. So what's more likely: the Bucks' defensive strategy working or a player purposely throwing games?

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

Who cares? I’m so ready to move on from that pseudo intellectual, pretentious tool. We should be blessed that we won’t have another year of cringy quotes from him.

I’d rather have Silver look into figuring out how to stop the NBA from becoming the NYCBA (New York & California Basketball Association) than either this or what to call the league’s team owners.
2023 Non-Active / Non-NBA75 Fantasy Draft, ChiBulls:

PG: Deron Williams 07-08 / M.R. Richardson 80-81 / J. Wall 16-17
SG: David Thompson 77-78 / Hersey Hawkins 96-97
SF: Tracy McGrady 02-03 / Tayshaun Prince 06-07
PF: Larry Nance Sr 91-92 / Blake Griffin 13-14
C: Bob Lanier 76-77 / Brad Daugherty 92-93 / M. Camby 06-07

Hard to prove so this will never happen.

I'd rather let it go at this point.

Let's prove our displeasure with him by BEATING him.

Since he supposedly caused so much discord let's simply humble him during the regular season AND the playoffs.

Stern and Silver have actually already been doing this by allowing Dolan to keep the team
I'm bitter.

I totally agree with you that he did it.  It really can't be proven though so I don't think it can be looked into.

Let it go.

I don't think Kyrie threw in the towel until toward the end of series. Frankly the entire team looked resigned the last game.

They were over-matched and lost, fair and square.  Did they lose motivation at the end?  Perhaps and that includes Kyrie.  However, this is not illegal so nothing to investigate.

It's clear he was gone win or lose. So what's more likely: the Bucks' defensive strategy working or a player purposely throwing games?

Why couldn’t it be both?

I think Milwaukee clamped down on him and instead of trying to get others involved more or play off the ball, he went through the motions and kept missing bad shots. Was he intentionally missing his shots? Probably not. Was he making the right play or giving max effort? Absolutely not.

Doesn't change the fact that the rest of the Celtics barring Brown and Horford played like crap

Agree. TP. He was mentally checked out, because he knew he was leaving, and it affected his performance and that of the team. A la Parcells in the 1996 Super Bowl.

Why didn’t Kawhi react the same way? Because he either didn’t already know he was leaving, or more likely, he’s just built differently than Kyrie.
