Free agent forward Marcus Morris has agreed to a two-year, $20M deal with the San Antonio Spurs, with a second-year player option, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

I'll just post what I did in the other thread:

Good deal and for a great team. Thanks for everything Mook!

Say what you want, but he was a good player for us these last two years and he was one of the only guys who consistently stepped up for us in the playoffs (even during that tough Bucks series). His grit and toughness were a breath of fresh air for this team at times.

He played his heart out and wore Green with pride. Best wishes and thanks for the few years with us. Wish we could have all put it together last year while he was here.

Ditto.

Still believe the team would have improved last season just by subtracting him.

Even though I didn't have any interest in re-signing him, I'm happy he got a reasonable amount. I hate seeing all of these good players sign for the Room Exception or Vet min.

He always seemed like a decent hard-working guy. He provided a scoring presence when we needed it at a position of need when Hayward went down. I am not going to say it was all sunshine and rainbows with Morris, but I wish him well and he couldn't be going to a better organization to utilize his talents.

Best of luck, Marcus!

Agreed.  I'm really surprised the Spurs of all teams are interested in him.  Complete anti-Popovich type of player.

Popovich loves his ISO scorers.

Kawhi, LMA, Rudy Gay, DeRozan.

The Spurs passing offense was more of a product of having two of the best ball-movers ever, Duncan and Ginobili, in the same team. Once they were gone, the Spurs offense quickly became one of the most ISO heavy in the league (even before, when Kawhi took over).

Good job Mook. I couldn't tell sometimes if the disfunction on offense was your fault or not, but you bailed us out a lot last year. Good luck with Pop.

Aldridge-Gay-Mook-Murray-White could be a pretty good team in SA's  offense.

I really like White. If he blossoms like I think he can, the Spurs could be really good.

Traded to whatever team will take him for peanuts. I guess i'm not much of a believer in his game.

Farewell Mook! Appreciate the effort put in and you gave it your all for the team. Glad he finally got paid (sort of). And thanks for not going to the Fakers  :police:

farewell Mook....such a polarizing player for me. loved his passion and when he was hitting shots. but other times he was frustrating to watch jacking up shots.

I do like that danny is clearing room for more shots for hayward/brown/tatum....I think we have a clear top 4 now where as last year you had 6-8 people all gunning for shots trying to get theirs.
