I don’t wanna say this is a must win, but man, would this be a huge one for this team.

It would. Things looked real bleak for the Lakers after that Pacers blowout loss, but then they came back and beat us (ugh) to bring up morale again. (Although they did lose by 23 to PHI just a few days ago themselves after)

I'm just hoping for a great game and a better fight from this team. I know we're w/o Kyrie and PHI got better but there's really no excuse to come out completely flat in this game and/or get blown out by 30+.

We can either hope those last 2 blown leads to LA teams was a wake up call that rejuvenates this team, or if it's a sign this is truly not our year and it's representative to who we really are (mediocre, likely 1st or 2nd round "pushovers"). I'm going to stay optimistic and say it's the former.

It would be very on-brand for this Celts team to win this game after losing the last two.

That is what I was saying earlier, it is the type of game the C's will come out and play really well in.

On paper, Philly is the team that should come out of the East this year.  Of course, our own 5th seed team is a testament to how little "on paper" matters, but that's the truth of it.  A team with Simmons, Redick, Butler, Harris and Embiid should make the Finals.

We're going to really miss Baynes tonight. As much as I love and appreciate Timelord/Theis... they are going to get massacred by Embiid and Boban inside (when Horford sits)  :(

If they fully realize the potential of that mix of talent, sure.

That's an open question.  Seems to me there are probably diminishing returns offensively on Butler, Simmons, and Harris.

Also still not sure whether Ben Simmons is an asset or a liability in the half-court when things tighten up in the playoffs.

As of right now I tend to think that the Bucks are a slight favorite to make the Finals just given that they have the likely league MVP and home court advantage.

The Raptors also look very dangerous so long as Marc Gasol is giving them highly productive minutes off the bench and Kawhi + Lowry are healthy.

I am surprised you would have them over the raptors who just added Gasol, Lin and possibly still may add Morris. Siakim is right there in the all-star conversation. Lowry is a legit point guard and Leonard just destroys the 76ers. Why no love for them?

He's really into the Sixers.

Personally, I think Milwaukee is the team to beat. All that shooting around Giannis, they have guys that can create for themselves (Khris and Bledsoe), and they're tough defensively.

Again Baynes is out and so is Kyrie.

This team has a terrible time playing without Baynes as it is. He has become injury prone and the fact that we have no true Centers behind him exasperates the fact even more.

I'm quickly becoming tired of Kyrie missing games too, just like so many are. The guy is a talent, but a pain in the butt.

I'm thinking that if the Celtics fall behind by 15 points this team may just implode.

Fingers crossed!
