At least he's not going to Miami.

Lol Wizards?? Not even any first round picks or Ayton in the package? Yikes. Suns and their fans have to be ecstatic

Pure salary dump. They are going to blow everything up there. Porzingis probably next.

I really don't think Dame is going to request out of Portland, so I wonder if Miami will turn their attention to Zach Lavine.

CP3 will get waived. Assuming we trade away 1 of Smart/Brogdon, should we go after him?

He'd be a nice fit. Give us that PG who can facilitate, and wouldn't need to be a primary scoring option on the team so there's less pressure on him to put up big numbers.

Gut says he's going to an LA team.

Probably. Or Philly if Harden leaves

I'd be pretty interested. Brogdon + Gallinari + Muscala + picks for Porzingis. Given Porzingis is expiring, we would have to give up more draft capital than Washington got for Beal, but this deal retains their newfound financial flexibility once the '23-'24 season finishes, plus more shots at prospects. I would try to keep both G Will and Pritchard in this instance to help shore up our bench, but if PP is fully out the door I'd offer Damion Lee the MLE.

Smart / White
Brown / Lee
Tatum / Hauser
Horford / G Williams
Porzingis / R Williams
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I'd probably put Porzingis at the 4 and start Williams.

Did see some Twitter speculation that Portland could offer #3 for Porzingis, don't know if that's based on anything real. But we'd clearly be outbid if that happens.

Definitely options on who we could start. I was more thinking of the passing that we'd need to offset Porzingis' lack thereof, but I guess Rob is also a good passer.

#3 is beyond anything we could offer, unless we offered Brown. I don't think Washington would be very interested in Brown for Porzingis + #8, given their direction seems to be getting worse with financial flexibility. #3 seems like a lot for an expiring Porzingis.
