Danny to Portland ticks all the right boxes. He was one of the better GMs in the league before he stepped down from the Celtics. Portland would be silly to not even attempt to pull him out of retirement. Danny would be perfect to rebuild that team. I’m a huge Danny Ainge fan but I think his time in Boston really had to end. He clearly looked tired and burned out. But maybe the  almost 2 years off may have rejuvenated him.

Almost two years??…..TP for the sarcasm.

Sorry about that. I was trying to say perhaps he’s rejuvanated now after going through a lot with covid and all. Thanks for the TP hehe.

Ainge is 62 and had some health issues.

Does he really want to throw himself back into that game?

You would think not.   I ve heard of stranger things

Gotta wonder if pressure plays into it.

Can imagine pressure at the Celtics being W A Y higher. More epic franchise, more on the line, and the pressure of loyalty.

Portland has the longest playoff streak in the sport.  Olshey is responsible for that.  I do wonder what exactly he did to create such a hostile work environment that he to be fired and that apparently no one knew about for years.  Seems very strange to me.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip
