Nice payday for Mikal and good move by the Suns.  Another bungled Sixers GM move.  He'd have been a great fit with Embiid and Simmons.

Mikal Bridges was born is Philly, went to college at Villanova (Pennsylvania) and his mother worked for the 76ers at the time.

Miraculously, Bridges falls to the 76ers and they trade him for Zhaire Smith, who’s already out of the league.

well they did also get a future 1st, which ended up 18 in 2021.

well they did also get a future 1st, which ended up 18 in 2021.

True, but I meant in terms of talent evaluation, given Bridges was in plain view his entire life…if his mother worked for the team I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d practiced with 76ers at some stage.

It’s almost like if Michael Jordan grew up in Portland, playing college basketball for the Oregon Ducks and then the Trailblazers still went and picked Sam Bowie lol
