1.) You need to edit this so the title says idea.

2.) Luka just signed a designated rookie extension, so he can't be traded until the summer of 2022.

3.) Dallas is not trading Luka Doncic.

Only if Boston can get a future second round pick from Dallas in this proposal

Oh dear lord. Why don’t you get the Bucks involved and trade Brown and Nesmith for Giannis while you’re at it?

Setting aside this trade, I took a look at the Dallas roster.

Doncic might be even better than I thought. If you removed the best player from every team in the league, Dallas might have the worst remaining roster of any NBA team.

Who else are some of the worst ones, just curious.

If we remove 2 we might be middle of the pack?

So Philly gets the Zinger and what may be slightly better draft position for Simmons all the while making Boston a juggernaut.  Come on man.

And I think they gave up too much.  Players...fine.  All of those picks on top of it....Hell no.

So Philly gets Porzingis and a couple of pick swaps for Simmons?  Dallas would happily do that directly.  Why get Boston involved at all?  Make this far-fetched deal simpler and more realistic:

Philly:   Porzingis, 2 pick swaps with Dallas
Dallas:  Simmons, 2 pick swaps with Philly

And if you don't even think this part of the deal works, no way the rest of the deal works.

I don't particularly like Doncic and Simmons together but Doncic and Porzingis is not working so well so who knows.

Idea: Jaylen for Simmons / Horford and Picks for Beal

What if Beal made it clear to the Wizards that he’ll be opting out and wants to be traded to Boston to play with St. Louis bud Tatum? Think of Paul George forcing his way out of Indiana, or Kawhi out of San Antonio. What if Brown is not happy and wants out?

If the above happened, would you go for three deals that ultimately amounted to this:

BOS In: Beal, Simmons, Bertrans
BOS Out: Brown, Horford, Langford, BOS 2022 1st, BOS 2024 1st, TPE for Bertrans

PHI In: Brown
PHI Out: Simmons

WAS In: Horford, Langford, BOS 2022 1st, BOS 2024 1st
WAS Out: Beal, Bertrans

The order of operations would be PHI/BOS first, then the TPE for Betrans with WAS as a prerequisite for WAS to give us Beal for Horford/Langford and two picks (better than what Indiana got for PG-13 and San Antonio for Kawhi…).

Our roster with Simmons as our point forward given his playmaking abilities and more natural fit at the 4 (and Tatum’s more natural fit at the 3):

Smart/Schröder/Pritchard
Beal/Richardson
Tatum/Nesmith
Simmons/Bertrans/Juancho/G. Williams/Parker
Timelord/Kanter/Fernando

Good enough to win it all? Maybe move Juancho and/or Richardson and/or Schröder? It would be nice to turn them into younger prospects at the 1 and 5.

I think we’d give him up if it kept Tatum happy and/or added an all-star like Beal. Otherwise, agreed.

Has there ever been discussion of a max number of trade threads that you can start per month?

He uses the word ‘idea’ so loosely.

Smart + Hernangomez for Hield match in salaries I think and I would Like this trade a lot. Schroder, Hield, Brown, Tatum and Williams starting with PP, Josh, Langford, Grant and Horford on the bench would be Nice.
But the Kings have Fox, Halliburton and Davion Mitchell, and I don't know if they would be interested in Smart.
Maybe the solution could be a 3 team trade where Kings get Simmons, we get Hield, and the Sixers get Halliburton and Smart.

Schroeder is a better fit than hield..can’t having Smart as starting PG

I'm with you.  I want Schroeder as the starting PG and Smart as 6th man.

I'd like a framework of Smart for Hield instead of Schroder

Winner winner....

Schroder is our best player lately. Don’t trade him.
