Suns win another despite struggles from Booker. Chris Paul and Javale McGee seems to have led the way based on box score/highlights. You just really need vets to win huh.

Bismack Biyombo has actually been outplaying Javale McGee. He was just a covid “replacement” but was eventually signed up for the rest of the year.

The C's got the 7th best net rating in the league during their last 15 games, yet we are 7-8 in that stretch.

kinda makes you think that the efficiency stats are failing to capture something important about what's wrong with the Celtics

it helps that Chris Paul is better (read: more impactful on winning) than anybody on our team

One game under 500 no matter how you cut it. Ugh.

Switched to Heat announcers because the Lakers announcers are coma inducingly lethargic.

.edit: WOW refs are bailing these guys out so hard

.edit2: well, that was way closer than it shoulda been. but there we go.

Not really, you just need to do some legwork and thinking to parse what they're trying to tell us.

These efficiency stats are reflecting our capacity - we have the ability to absolutely pound on teams and beat any team on any given night, but our massive coaching disadvantage routinely gives teams a way back into games that we should win. Now this would also mean that these metrics are also underselling what this team is capable of (because us being able to hold onto our leads would give us even better numbers): as I have said, this is a squad with top-level defensive personnel and above average attackers, and the fact that we're below average on offence and great but not truly elite on defence is an indictment on the people responsible for unlocking the talent we have on the team.

I've been on record saying that the Kidd hire might be a good one for them and he's been a revelation so far - his defensive work is top notch while his offensive coaching is surprisingly good!

I would argue Kidd may be even worse than Ime which is a feat in itself cause Ime is terrible!
