Everyone keeps talking about trading Smart and Thompson.

The Celtic will become one of the most pushed around, heartless teams in the NBA.

You're describing last year's team.

With Horford returning & adding Moses, I doubt u will see anymore trades..Thompson be only one if they do..Evan Fournier is the key..will they resign him or he go somewhere else

If the C's want to sign a max FA next year they can't resign Fournier. only 1 year deals.  Next year will most likely be a bridge year.

Ha, that was funny. Indeed.

Toughness is a much easier skill to find in the NBA than the ability to average 30PPG for two seasons. Guys like Tucker, Howard, Ariza, James Johnson, Robin Lopez, Ibaka, Markieff Morris and more are free agents this off-season
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Still think we should inquire about Bagley and Sexton

Some decent vets should be available especially from teams that have made multiple picks tonight.

Is it possible all of these moves are setting up something else? I'm not going to let myself get comfortable with anyone on the roster until October.

As it stands the Celtics are not a better team than last year, worse as I see it if we were starting the season today. To be fair contracts have less years, that may open up some trade possibilities with teams looking for expiring contracts. We still need a center, and a 2 guard and a starting PF. I still would like to hear the plan.

As it stands, the Tristan Thompson deal is not official so all we know right now is that we have traded Moses Brown to get Josh Richardson and Evan Fournier is unsigned.  Tristan Thompson is still on the team.  Hard to guess what next when we don't really know where things stand right now.

This. As constituted, this team is a 7-8 at best and first round out. Lots of work to be done but it looks like management won’t spend this offseason.

Looks like Dunn is being moved to the Hawks.

League sources tell Himmelsbach that the Celtics will likely try to flip Kris Dunn, who is being sent from Atlanta to Boston in a not-yet-official trade.

Anyone who knows about the cap want to comment on this:

How about a double sign-and-trade with Fournier and Lonzo? Does that make sense/work at all? If we're not willing to pay $20 mil a year for Fournier, are we for Lonzo?

Would like to get both, that would be an upgrade and actually have some worthwhile trade chips
