Reeves in for workout.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/chrisgrenham/2021/07/27/boston-celtics-expressing-interest-in-oklahomas-austin-reaves-ahead-of-2021-nba-draft/?sh=6b6566c81d96

Poor man's Booker?
Not a fan of Reaves. Awful shot selection, poor shooter from 3, weak defender, and he's already 23. I like the idea of picking mature-age guys if they look like they can contribute right away, and all Reaves can really contribute is his ability to drive. Not worth wasting a pick on, but would happily bring him into the G-League

It is interesting that Reaves points out in the interview that he was a much better 3pt shooter at Witchita st and attributes that to playing off the ball and shooting spot up 3s (42% on almost 4 attempts. At Oklahoma he has forced to have the ball in his hands and take more tough shots. This could actually bode well for him as his NBA role will be more in line with his Witchita st role.
Maybe, but the defence in the NBA is a fair bit better than the MVC and AAC

All seem like possible undrafted 2 way guys.  None of these guys are in the nbadraf.net mock.

He is, but apparently he's lost 20 or so pounds since leaving Iowa. Might be a bit more mobile now

He'd have to get a lot more mobile but he is a skilled player.

I think he can carve a niche similar to Mo Speights of a few years ago. Stretch big with offensive skill

I would invite Luke to Camp but I would not waste a draft pick on him.   Like I've said earlier some of the end of bench guys we had last year should not be that hard to beat out.

Raiquan Gray had a 26.5" standing vertical leap too folks, that is only slighter better than Grant Williams, and a big warning sign to me as the league average for   PF is 28".   I know he is a big strong guy but he will be earthbound.

David Thorpe of HoopHype thinks he's underrated.  His son plays on Florida State team with him. He thinks Gray can be a player in the NBA.  He seems like a bigger longer version of Grant Williams, who has is more comfortable handling the ball in traffic.

He is definitely bigger and seems stronger, but I honestly, am really scared of guy that can't jump any higher than that for a pro.
