Following Rudy Gobert's positive COVID-19 test, the NBA is in an indefinite suspension.

just caught that news on Boston Sports Tonight.  knew it'd just be a matter of time before someone in the league tested positive.  I'm sure Gobert will be one of the majority of people that only have mild symptoms since he's in really good condition as a pro athlete but as others have started asking, with him playing games how many fellow players and fans did he infect.  he was supposedly mocking the whole virus awareness and made a point of making lots of physical contact with media and fans lately

Gobert joked about it a few days ago and he comes down with it. Yikes.

This numbskull deliberately touched all of the mics and recorders on the table in front of him at a press conference. 

At the time, it was already a dumb, insensitive joke.  Now?  I don't even know what to say.

Indefinite suspension has to mean no more games this season (playoffs included) I imagine, right?

Nor necessarily. Perhaps in a 5-6 weeks, if things have improved and the players are all healthy they come back with an abbreviated postseason. Best of 5 for every before Finals.

But, that has to be a best case scenario, right?

Or they just extend the playoffs into July.

There likely will be no round 1 or any playoffs.

There's no way this thing gets significantly better in the next 2-3 months

the celtics could have been exposed on friday

EDITED this (so the celtics could have been exposed on friday)  because the day of him touching the mics has no bearing on whether the C's were exposed.

it's actually a funny line but can't help but wonder how well he'll be received by other players, those that work in the league and the media for his antics prior to being diagnosed.
